I always book hotels that have swimming pools restaurants and bars , This hotel had the restaurant and the bar close they told me that it was under repair but there’s no signs of anybody repairing it it was just closed

El único problema que nos tocaron otros inquilinos que hacían mucho ruido y tuve que llamar a recepción, porque era casi media noche y no podía dormir.

the air condition was too cold and I couldn't adjust the thermostat. and the hotel have a strong smell. and is not close to the centro. I like the decoration but need maintenance. thank you

The staff was friendly, but did not speak English. The AC was only on or off - no temperature control. The bathroom and vanity 'felt' dirty and stained. Just didn't feel and look like a clean place. The worst was the abundance of hair on the bed sheets.

We requested a non smoking room and they allocated a smoking room. After complaining we were moved to another room, this time it has a really mouldy bathroom. We asked for a clean room again and were told that there weren’t any more available. It also claims to be near the centre. It is not. We complained to Expedia and they moved us to a better hotel immediately. After a few days Expedia advises that they would refund our money.

This Hotel did not honor my confirmed booking that has been charged on my credit card! They claimed they did not have our reservation and did not work with Travelocity! They also said they had no rooms available so we were left stranded on a Friday evening. I am a mother and disabled veteran and had travelled far to Merida on two auto-buses with my two children. We were left stranded! Later, after great stress and anxiety of trying to find a room available last minute in the city and finding none available... I had to pay for a very expensive taxi home to the beach and leave Merida all together. This was a disgraceful experience and I feel swindled and robbed.

Overwleming smell of mold throughout hotel and room. No traffic noise but extremely noisy ventilators/extractors on & off 24 hrs. Located in industrial area. Not many places to go to eat without a car. Reception desk very helpful and friendly. Amenities good, but no free coffee in lobby. Management changes often

Air conditioner was directly above bed so I couldn't use it all night without getting a sore throat. Ceiling fan did not work. Was told by the staff it was just for decorative purposes as were all the ceiling fans. They brought me a floor fan and said I could change rooms the next day. The next day, a different person told me there were no other rooms. Then they said I could change that night. Well, they never changed my room. Elevator waa broken. Maybe it was decorative, too! Staff was friendly but not helpful with planning trips and giving information. Hotel was not in the center of town as stated. It was a long walk through iffy neighborhoods. The room was spacious but the bed had a 1 x 6 above the mattress that made sleeping difficult.

If you have a choice...
If you have a choice between a park bench and this hotel, choose the park bench: at least you'll know what you're getting. I reserved a kitchenette only to find that just one burner on the stove top worked, with one spaghetti noodle type pot for everything. No coffee maker, no wash or dry cloths, sink never cleaned, no dinner plate, no scissors, no in-room Wi-Fi, unadjustable fridge, so everything froze in it, limited hot water, very, very far from the centre, so that unless you have a car or can figure out the bus routes, you're better off booking further downtown. Room cleaning was kind of hit or miss. Hotels.com should maybe reconsider this option. My room with a kitchenette did not correspond to anything like I saw in the picture.

Had a good exprience overall. It was very clean. The only concern was the water bottles were not enough (small size) so we had to buy. Very spacious room.

Children were disturbing other guests, knocking on doors randomly. Could not give us better towels for swimming. Breakfast wasn't included even when the site said it was and there was no menu to choose from. They chose what they would serve per day .

Down town hotel
We were able to over look the fact that our AC , bed and mold in our room was bad. What really ruined our 5 nights there was the room cleanliness. There was human waste on restroom walls and I could not get a different room or get my money back. They finally moved us the las day

Loved the hotel in general but took 3 days for them to change my room because I specifically needed wifi and they kept giving me excuses for it not to be working properly. The beds in this first room were old and not comfortable, also refrigerators are mentioned as a service they offer but it seems it's only in the suites... Once I changed rooms on the 2nd floor, all went smoothly, internet, beds, service so I would go back but to my last room ;) An elevator would be nice.

Do not stay!
Would not recommend this hotel. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, they give you rags (literally) for towels, the shower would not drain, and there is nothing much to see in Merida that cannot be done in one day. The photos of the hotel sucked me on but once in the room it is NOTHING like the photos.

Not so cheap hotel considering its conditions
Misrepresented hotel by its advertised photographs. But worse was for them not being able to give me a room with its amenities fully functioning. In particular the Kitchenette not having cold water, and dirty utensils. Bathroom with tub curtain falling apart and towels so little as the ones used to put on floor for exiting the tub. Pool area was being painted and pool water was not inviting.

Beware of Mold
Our room smelt like mold so much so that I broke out and my aunt began to wheeze and have breathing troubles, staff did not change is to another to until 3am, time when my aunt was also told "you should have told us you had allergies or asthma" (she doesn't have asthma & they should have know better) needless to say the staff is not very polite and we were unsatisfied. They also promote safe hotel parking (it's but 4 spaces front of the hotel.)
