We had a wonderful week-long stay and really enjoyed our time here. The hotel is in a peaceful, beautiful location, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room and the hotel overall was also very clean.
The location is excellent! It is very walkable and convenient, yet calm and quiet. Breakfast was tasty and generous with fresh fruit, though a bit more variety would have been nice. We were upgraded to a room with a separate living space, which was a lovely bonus, and having a fridge in the room was very convenient.
A slightly more comfortable couch in the living area and a coffee machine or kettle in the room would have been nice additions, but these were minor details. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we would absolutely stay here again!
The hotel is recently rebuild and the owners are very nice. But the quality compared to the prices is terrible... first of all our room was missing a safebox, then when we returned from dinner we found a huge cacaroach in the bathroom. I called reception to ask them to come kill it... but after 5 minutes waiting I decided to do it my self! The morning after, we tried to do breakfast there... we were expective a nice buffet or something similar to that but nope... you take a seat and the ladies start bringing you what they have... I ask for an Espresso, but incredibly they don't have Espresso Machine or jams or any pastry at all... only bred and eggs... and considering that we don't eat eggs... We then decided to have breakfast outside. Next day they hadn't change our bath towels or our bed linen and also forgot to replace the welcome waters...
So, overall absolutely not a good experience. And way too expensive I don't suggest staying here.

My wife and I finally had time for vacations after a couple of years of hard work. We wanted something private, cozy, with excelent service and marvelous location within Merida. Boutique by the museo exceeded all our expectations. Their team is so attentive and helpful they'll make you feel at home.
I'm no arquitect but the hotel feels like the combination of old Merida with a new sense of style.
Had a great time with the family, the owner and staff made sure we had all we needed for that. Definitely recommend it for couples or families if looking for an upscale and relaxed atmosphere
We had a lovely stay at Boutique by the museo in Merida. This boutique hotel is in an amazing location next to the Palacio Canton (which is a very interesting museum). The room was simply elegant and neat. We slept so well – the bed was very high quality and the sheets were truly luxurious! We enjoyed a wine and an appetizer on the terrace. The staff was very attentive & helpful with the tours and making reservations. I don’t speak Spanish but all their front desk persons spoke English (and one spoke French). The breakfast was fantastic with fresh croissants, eggs benedict, fruit, and juices. They even French press their coffee so it was perfectly strong for my taste.
I highly recommend Boutique by the Museo for couples or families. It is a first class boutique hotel in every sense. We felt special and welcome and the attention to detail was impressive.
Hermoso e impecable hotel.
