Recommend this hotel for anyone who plans to be near Myeongdong with easy access to Airport bus to Incheon airport. Room is nicely renovated and spacious. Breakfast on the second floor is adequate if you enjoy western bagel breakfast. The lighting for the room is inconvenient since it's only at the entrance. Shower is also designed oddly with no edge to keep water in as there is only a piece of glass between the shower and basin. There is also only two coat hangers which is frustrating.

we had the most relaxing end to our 3week holiday in Korea with the last 4 days staying at Douglas house. we were taken good care of by all the staff in particular the dinner staff and breakfast staff. Although the language barrier was a little challenging, they did their best to assist us. Lovely grounds to walk around, there is so much to see and do within the Ealkerhill complex. Thank you all and we would gladly come back again and also highly recommend anyone wanting to stay here

From the moment we arrived at this hotel, we could feel the extra special touch this place had. We had our luggage rolled in from the front door and taken with us to reception, then guided to the room with a quick run down of the control panels etc inside. The room was not cleaned during our 4-night stay, except on the last day, when we removed the sign from our bed. We thought the sign meant we didn't need to change the bed linen daily, but we didn't expect it also meant our bed wouldn't be tidied. Located in arts cultural district, right next to ssamzigil a 4 floors arts centric mall. There is a small mall annyoung insadong, attached to the hotel, mostly food outlets here which was convenient. Walking distance to myeongdong street market and to gyeongbokgung palace. Staff were great and accomodated to our needs.
