"The room was moderately clean but smelt very damp. We got constant condensation which made the netting damp even when we had the heater on which just blew out cold air most of the time. You do not provide mini fridges which I find really inconvenient when travelling with a toddler who constantly wants snacks. I had to throw yogurts/milk and cheese strings in the bin as I had nowhere to store them. When we arrived at the promise it took around 20 minutes to get checked in as there was only 1 member of staff on reception who was having some technical difficulties with the family she was checking in. We then eventually got to our room and could not connect to the WiFi even by following rh instructions provided it said my name and room number do not match the records. When I came down to reception to get assistance by the lady who had checked up is another lady (did not catch her name) came over and was extremely abrupt and rude talking to me like I was stupid and didn't know how to follow simple instructions. I then had another member of staff and gent who I believe was the manager follow me up in the lift to our room even when I asked him not to. We ordered food on the Saturday which came to our room cold. My daughters pasta was so cold it had clumped together. She loves pasta but would not eat anymore then the first bite and I wouldn't have either which meant she was left in eating dry cereal and grapes for lunch. Overall a poor experience. Wouldn't stay here again. "

"Great place to stay clean room lovely comfy bed good shower. 2 mins walk from the railway station. 24 hour manned reception good coffee! Would not hesitate to recommend this venue for a convenient night out in Nottingham. Parking 5 mins walk away which was ideal for us with a car. Late checkout was also available after a later night out at reasonable price too. Will definitely stay there again. Shampoo conditioner body wash in the bathroom too if you forget yours!"

"Bathroom was poor with outdated bath and shower which was dangerous to use. The group booking for 9 people did not seem to exist. Very poor internal communication. The bedroom doors were not soft close and banged all night as people went to their rooms. We were refused entry to the dining area at 7.00 pm as we hadn't booked never having being informed of such a procedure at reception. Finally two days before we were due to arrive we were informed that our booking made on Jan 23rd nearly 2 months prior was cancelled due to overbooking!! After several phonecalls to the hotel we finally got our booking reinstated. What a stressful experience for an 82 year old alumni of the University attending our 63rd reunion (Rutherford Hall block 5 ,1963) "
