"We had no complaint about staff sevice or menu and delivery of either was with good humour and a genuine Interest and kindness. We were disappointed in the room which was small and had only one chair, which meant the bed was the only alternative to watch the tv or read. Bedside light was totally Inadaquite to read with. It was however clean and the bed was comfortable."

"I was really impressed with the space upstairs in the property-the en-suite master room was lovely and airy. The location is fabulous for exploring Melrose and the cottage is well equipped, warm and spacious inside. I would book again without any hesitation. Really liked the books about the area!"

"Hotel was spotless and generally spectacular. Major issue was not being able to get a lounger at the spa, and when mentioned to the spa staff very little was done to help (there were many loungers not being used, and proper policing would have made this more enjoyable for all) A handful of others had the same experience. Overall, the spa overpromised and under delivered for us, but stay was otherwise flawless"
