Very good value.

From the hotel there are beautiful views over the bay. The staff were helpful and when I ate in the dinning room the food was good, though there was not a huge choice(some thing you felt they had to do to keep their prices so very reasonable).I come to Mellieha regularly and will always aim to return the Panorama Hotel, I've got rather fond of the place.

Top Hotel

Sauberes, schönes Hotel, super Aussicht. Waren rundum zufrieden hatten jedoch auch nicht besondere Ansprüche. Angenehme Lage. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten zu Fuss in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Vom Flughafen aus den Bus X1 nehmen und nach ca. 55 min. bei Mellieha intercharge aussteigen. Von da aus zur Haltestelle Adenau (gleich bei der Kirche) oder zu Fuss (ca. 15 Minuten) weiter. Busticket hat nur 6.50 gekostet für 7 tage, sehr empfehlenswert um die Insel zu erkunden. Junges Paar aus der Schweiz

We got a corner room with a fantastic view over the bay. The room was big, and had a big window and a balcony. The window was very dirty, and with that view it could have been so much nicer with a clean window.. The room was clean and new. The beds very comfortable. The shower is not so good. Hand-hold, unstabile temperature and with so low waterpressure that for me, with a lot of hair (long), it was quite hopeless trying to wash it.. The breakfast is very basic. VERY basic. It is not a lot of options to choose from. I fully understand some of the guest who brought their own food to supplement the breakfast. The hotel has a good location, nice and quiet, and a short walking distance to town and all the buses. Its a bit far to walk to the beach with small children, so I would recommend a short busride instead. The evening entertainment was popular among the elderly guests, and my young son enjoyed watching the musician from the balcony:) The cleaning staff and some of the reception staff is very polite and helpful, the manager could need some improvement..:)

Great budget hotel near beach

A short 4 night stay in Malta. Lovely simple rooms with, in my experience, lovely balcony and views. Easy access from the road with small car park and parking room on side streets. Close to all amenities. Breakfast was both hot and cold with alternate scrambled and hard boiled eggs with no disappointments other than the use of UHT milk and no yoghurt. Evening entertainment was available but could NOT be heard in rooms. WIFI really is free but could only receive signal by the room door, other than downstairs in reception. Pool lovely but small. Whole building was aesthetically pleasing. Room cleaning services were fantastic and owner/manager very helpful with advice on things to do.

hôtel de classe très moyenne ; côté positif: localisation, vues sur mer et baie imprenables, calme, taille humaine ; personnel accueillant. côté négatif : chambre single très petite, 2 fenêtres donnant sur gaines et divers tuyaux dont la climatisation et les conduits de cuisine ; petit déjeûner copieux mais toujours la même chose ; clientèle 3eme âge anglaise quasi exclusivement à cette période, internet payant 3 euros pour une heure sur clavier qwerty payable en liquide ; draps tachés et troués ; ménage plus que sommaire ; pas de pression et réglage de la température impossible au 4eme étage ; restauration limitée à un menu à 15 euros, cuisine très basique et peu variée.

Das Hotel ist grundsätzlich sehr empfehlenswert. Die Lage ist gut, der Ausblick traumhaft, die Zimmer sauber und das Personal freundlich. Für ein 3 Sterne Hotel ist das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis gut bis sehr gut. Der einzige Negativpunkt ist das für schweizer Verhältnisse ungeniessbare Frühstück. Die Auswahl ist mickrig und das gebotene ist einfach nur eklig. Man muss sich ausserhalb des Hotels ernähren. Trotzdem waren wir mit dem Gesamtpacket zufrieden.

A good budget hotel.

First some context - this is an economy hotel, so if you looking for 5 star, this is not it. For a 3 star hotel, it was good. I had a superior room which was a nice size, and in a reasonable state of repair. The balcony is small, but big enough for a few chairs, and the view is AMAZING. The standard rooms are smaller, but I never went in one, so cannot comment. The hotel has excellent wifi service with good download speeds. It has a nice bar and good dining area. Breakfast was the usual hotel fair, with cereal, fruit, bread, cheese, ham and a cooked option of bacon and eggs etc.. This was to a good standard. I was b&b only so cannot comment on other meals, but did hear other guests complain about food. Again this is an economy hotel so I would say this to be expected. There are some very good restaurants a short walk away. All the staff were helpful - with wifi, hire cars, info, rooms were kept clean etc. Some had a problem with smiling, but other than that staff were very good. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a budget hotel. The location is great, the staff helpful, but you might not want to eat there in the evening, and you DO want a sea view.

Amazing view but horrible food

Overall very enjoyable stay however the quality of breakfasts was beyond 3 star hotel standard. Terrible rolls, disgusting cheese and ham plus flies all over it. Breakfasts were for the linkes of the Englis - bakon, eggs and beans. The only highlight was slices of watermelon and melon - that's it! Overall nice and helpul staff apart from one waitress who was unpleasant (tall blonde) - she told us off 3 times and was extremely arogant - we've learnt that we can't drink our pints near the pool area!!! we also couldn't enjoy morning coffee outside the canteen...which was not air conditioned. We were never asked not to do so by any other member of the staff - it was only when her shift started. She made few really nice moments completely ruined for us! ( Maybe it was because we didn't choose all inclusive option???) Room was lovely with amazing view but the bathroom wasn't great - broken shower doors and tiny.

Terribly uncomfortable room, inconvenient location

Although the staff at this hotel were all very helpful and nice, my stay was highly unpleasant. The room was tiny and reminiscent of a jail cell (it was however very cheap). The AC was poor, even when set on full blast it was still too hot and stuffy. The room did not have any windows towards the outdoors, just one small window overlooking a hallway, which made it feel even more confined. The breakfast was almost inedible - stale bread and funky-smelling eggs, the food in the hotel restaurang was also quite disgusting. Every corner of the hotel was too hot/poorly airconditioned. Also, the hotel is located very far from almost everything. Even though the view was great at night and the staff was friendly, I would not recommend staying here. The stuffy jailcell-like room was far too unpleasant to be worth it.

Agréable, excepté que la 1ère nuit (sur 5), on nous a dit que notre chambre vue mer n'était pas libre et nous avons eu 2 petites chambres individuelles jusqu'au lendemain. Puis, la clim promise n'a jamais fonctionné (heureusement, les chambres étaient exposées à l'ombre et la chaleur était supportable). d'ailleurs, l'hôtel est très bien exposé, il y a toujours un peu d'ombre, appréciable en août! Le personnel est charmant, la nourriture de la 1/2 pension, en revanche, est médiocre.

I saw the bad reviews and still booked as it was an area i had not visited.the hotel over looks the bay although u have to walk or travel along the road as there is no short cut if u need to walk along there,even so it was a nice view from my apartment window. each morning i had a free breakfast buffet of ample bacon,sausage,scramble egg,boiled egg,baked beans,bread roll,sliced bread,butter,apples,coffee,tea and breakfast is served between 8 and 10 a.m.the room was tiled floor,ac heater or cooler.maid was charming and tidied my room if i wasnt in or did not if i fancied a lye in.nice high street with a few bars,restaurants,grocery shops within a ten minute walk and bus service to towns around Malta.as for the bad points....a performer or singer attends the bar and the noise (although sometimes ok)travels up to the first floor so u can either laugh at his bad singing or ignore it.i enjoyed my stay there,hope u do too.

FANTASTISK FLOT udsigt og elendig morgenbuffet

Vi har boet på Panorama 11 dage i sommeren 2011 og haft et fint ophold. Badeværelset trænger til renovering, men fungerer. Vi havde heldigvis kun betalt for morgenmad og havde absolut ikke lyst til at indtage flere måltider på hotellet. Morgenbuffetten består udelukkende af traditionel engelsk morgenmad med "baked beans", stegte pølser, kogt skinke, "plastik" ost og meget, meget hvidt brød, uden substans. Der var lidt skemad, af den søde slags... Vi "overlevede" på en müsli blanding med mælk, samt vandmelon. Et helt OK sted at bo, hvis man indstiller sig på en standard på 3 små stjerner..

Det är ett trestjärnigt hotell. So what! Men vi har några punkter som vi är mycket missnöjda med: frukosten, mycket dålig. Korven såg nästan ut som en rynkig läderväska o omeletten var stenhård, äggen kokta så att gulan var nästan grön, juicen som vatten. Renligheten i matsalen var heller inte så bra. Bra utomhuspool, men smutsiga bord o golv, borde vara städade varje morgon.

Worst hotel I have ever syed in

I am a business traveller so I have a varied experience of hotels around the world. I am my own boss so I always go for value and as such I am quite used to dealing with 'basic' rooms. I am pretty easy to please, as long as the air con works and there is WIFI I will put up with pretty much everything else. The inland view room I paid for consisted of a damp, dirty smelling tiny box room with two tiny windows. The first looked out onto the fire escape and the other onto the heating ducts, no outside light came into the room. The hotel had provided ONE wire coat hanger so I could hang up ONE shirt, presumably I was supposed to dump the rest of my clothes on the floor. The air conditioning didn't work and the staff didn't care... presumably once they have your money that's job done. Seriously this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, if I can do the human race one good deed it would be that you take my advice and avoid this 'hotel' at ALL costs.

Flot udsigt men ikke så meget andet

Jeg boede en uge i juli 2010 på dette hotel med min samlever og vores 2-årige datter. Vi havde valgt dette hotel, da vi gerne ville være tæt ved stranden, men ikke befinde os lige midt i turisthelvedet ved Mellieha Bay. Panorama Hotel ligger hævet over bugten og tilbyder en fantastisk udsigt. Værelserne har hver en lille altan, hvorfra udsigten kan nydes. Vi havde set frem til at sidde her om aftenerne, når vores datter var lagt i seng. Desværre var der hver aften på nær 2 underholdning ved poolen nedenfor altanerne. Musikken var af varierende kvalitet og appellererede til et noget ældre publikum end os. Så vi valgte for det meste at tilbringe aftenerne med lukket altandør! Værelserne er heldigvis meget stille, og vi kunne ingenting høre fra naboerne. Sengene er udmærkede. Desværre virkede vores air condition kun sporadisk. Vi gjorde personalet opmærksom på dette 3 gange, og vi kunne da også se, at de havde været inde og kigge på den, men lige lidt hjalp det. Vi kunne forstå på andre danskere på hotellet, at de havde de samme problemer. Værelset var fint rengjort, da vi ankom, men den daglige rengøring var mangelfuld. Skraldespandene blev kun tømt, hvis de var fulde, og gulvene og badeværelset blev kun meget overfladisk rengjort. Til gengæld blev sengetøjet skiftet hver dag. Det lille fjernsyn på værelset kunne stort set kun tage Sky News. Der var også nogle italienske kanaler med knas på. Interiøret på værelserne og på hotellet generelt er moderne, men også lidt charmeforladt. Morgenmaden var en sørgelig og skuffende oplevelse. Små lyse boller, kedelig ost og skinke og det sædvanlige oversøde marmelade, man får i sydeuropa. Corn flakes og 1-2 andre morgenmadsprodukter. Skiftevis røræg m. pølser og hårdkogte æg m. bacon. Dertil juice, kaffe og te og meget lidt melon. Absolut ikke nogen kulinarisk oplevelse! Poolen er ikke stor, men fin og flot vedligeholdt. Der er et lille caféområde ved siden af og et lille område med plads til solsenge. Om aftenen benyttes området som restaurant, hvilket vi grundet morgenmadens standard ikke turde kaste os ud i. Den kvindelige receptionist virkede på os som den mest imødekommende og hjælpsomme. Der er ikke så meget sightseeing at komme efter i Mellieha by, men mange dejlige restauranter, og området omkring kirken er hyggeligt og flot. Det er nemt og billigt at komme med de lokale busser rundt på øen, selvom de også kan være ret fyldte. Hvis vi skal til Malta igen, kan vi godt finde på at bo i Mellieha igen, men vil nok vælge et af de 4-stjernede hoteller, selvom vi så ikke får den samme udsigt som på Panorama Hotel.

Hotel am Rand des Ortes mit wunderbarem

Hotel am Rand des Ortes mit wunderbarem Blick auf die Bucht. Frühstück sehr mäßig. Pool war geschlossen und wurde wie einige andere Teile des Hotels noch modernisiert. Zimmer sehr klein. Dusche war eine Katastrophe, wurde aber nach Beschwerde repariert. Angenehmes und ruhiges Hotelpublikum.
