Ive said it before and i will say it again and again the pear tree in is a true lttle gem. It was our third visit and it was just as lovely, we stayed in the moon glow accommodation which was fab as usual, i cannot recommend this place enough, lovely setting, lovely cosy bar area lively food and lovely staff. We will keep going back - thank you for a great break away
Nice clean well managed pub with rooms very tastefully decorated and well equipped. The food was very good especially the breakfast which was excellent. Great service from all of the staff. Loads of parking.
We are lucky to have found this true gem, it was our second time staying and we will go back time and time again, the location, pub, restaurant, rooms and staff are absolutely amazing. The smell of the log fire as you walk in and the overall cosiness
An absolutely spectacular in. Jackie and her team were fantastic and took such good care of us. The food was also exceptional. I would highly recommend this venue for any one who wants to have a great time in the Wiltshire area. On top of all of that, the bus into the town of Bath stops right across the street from this hotel. Five stars if I could give more, I would.
One of the best little independant pub / hotels Kay and I have ever stayed in.
Everyone working there were friendly, nothing was too much trouble and the food and accommodatiion were spot.
We wouldn't hesitate to go again.
No windows made for uncomfortable sleeping ground floor bedroom, plus heating constantly on in bathroom. No bedside lamp in upper floor room very dangerous negotiating getting out of bed and down the steps and stairs during the night. Room advertised with garden/courtyard area, this area unkempt no weeding done seating was rusty and undesirable to use this area. Booked a specific table for evening meal, staff had no record of this so table had to be got ready, we ordered our meals(5 in total) one meal didn’t arrive until the rest of us finished. Upon check out the overall bill showed a £33 service fee!!! Which I did not pay any tips/gratuities should be optional AND NOT added to the bill.
This was a wonderful property. They have thought of everything. Fans in the rooms, family room was very spacious and fun for kids. Food was good. Pub was nice!
Beautiful, old, character-full inn with excellent dining. The grounds / garden are lovely for a stroll or for sitting out with a drink. The garden room (family room) was great for our needs with two young children. All very clean and thoughtfully decorated, charming style. Breakfast and dinner all great. Rural area, great base for exploring surrounding areas.
Room was very clean, nice comfortable bed & very nice decor
Shower control a bit temperamental but very nice once it got going.
The only slight downside was expensive evening meal & limited choices, but cooked very well!
Excellent breakfast
Staff were super friendly and helpful. and dinner and breakfast were excellent.
Great room and really comfy bed. Would stay again
Over all a great stay Thankyou.
Our nights stay at The Pear Tree Inn was lovely. Gorgeous setting, beautifully renovated. Beautiful room, very homely and not too “hotely”. We had a lovely evening meal and the choices on the breakfast menu were amazing. Most importantly the staff were all fantastic. I would 100% recommend a stay here.
The hotel is situated in a very quiet village which is convenient for Bath. The hotel looks fabulous and the grounds are lovely especially at night when lit giving a lovely ambience. Our room was was of ample size for two with a large comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. The hotel would be perfect except for a few small details. We were greeted and shown the way to our room but felt it wasn’t the warmest of greeting and was let down by no initial explanation of the facilities in the room. It took me to the next day how to work the bedside lamps. Breakfast on the first night was great with an attentive waitress and wore a mask but sadly on day two the Mask was missing which in today’s climate was concerning. Breakfast has limited options for vegetarians and I really feel that a full English with vegetarian alternatives for sausages and bacon aren’t a lot to ask for in a modern world.

Disliked: Staff & service
average - over priced
This is a very average hotel and over priced.
reception staff very stuck up and not accommodating
Great staff and service, Kate was lovely very welcoming, she checked us in and served at dinner and breakfast. The inn offers a good range of food and drinks too. Our room in the garden was clean, comfortable and cosy. We really enjoyed our weekend break.
Absolutely our favourite place to stay if we are heading West! The building is beautiful with a choice of fires to settle in by in the comfortable bar. Food is always delicious and the team are so very friendly! Visit in the summer and the gardens are a joy to sit in. Dogs are welcome, it’s just a lovely relaxed place to be.
