Great spot to land

Great location easy walk from train station. Located centrally to shops, restaurants. Although we chose location for the Meiringen -Rosenlaui trail. Friendly helpful staff, great breakfast, comfortable beds.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Dakota. The hotel is a very short and easy walk from the train station, so it was easy to get around. There are many nice walking trails in the city, and the train ride to Lake Brienz is very short and convenient. The area is in a beautiful valley with gorgeous waterfalls nearby, including Reichenbach falls. There are also many nice shops nearby as well as a crafting/farmers market in the mornings. It was easy to book a small and affordable but comfortable room as a solo traveler. Highly recommend.

Overpriced with no air conditioning

During a heatwave in Europe it was tough to stay and sleep in the hotel without air conditioning. A fan was of little help. Breakfast was very good.

The hotel location is fantastic, only 3 min away from the train station. We love the peace and quiet with fantastic scenic view of Switzerland mountains. We also really enjoyed their breakfast with high quality local foods as well as cleanliness. The only down side is the lack of AC in the room which we’re lucky enough to travel during the hottest time… However, we still highly recommend staying with Hotel Dakota (maybe not if the weather is 70 degree F)!

I liked that it was very close to the train station. I did not like our last breakfast, apparently a large group came in and ate up almost everything when we arrived to eat at 8:40am. Not sure why they were not prepared for this, other guest were also over heard saying they were disappointed with the left overs

Schönes Hotel an zentraler Lage

Sehr schönes Hotel an Zentraler Lage. Sehr sauber und freundliches Personal. Einzig das Morgenbuffet bot wenig Alternativen für Veganer und für Müesli dürfte es noch etwas mehr gesunde Beilagen wie Körner und Leinsamen geben. Das Hotel organisierte aber für uns extra Vegane Joghurt und Hafermilch. Herzlichen Dank. Gerne wieder einmal
