This was an amazing property to stay. The rooms and kitchen were nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. The yard is a sanctuary and the hot tub a treat. Great location too, near the Redwoods and some beautiful beaches.
We enjoyed the property, yard and hot tub. Central location while visiting the Redwoods. Clean and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.
This was a great place to stay. Pictures don't do it justice as I think a few things had been upgraded since the photos were taken. Nice location in McKInelyville and easy to get to everything. Definitely will stay here again.
Had a great stay at this house. Close to shopping and restaurants and easy to get to Arcata and Trinidad. House was very clean and the hot tub was a nice bonus.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful little home in a great location! Walking distance to one of the best markets ever, and the home, yard, jacuzzi, location ... pretty much everything great. And very responsive and nice hosts. We'll look forward to returning again in the future.
This was a great home for our family of 5 to stay in for heading either north or south to the redwoods. Nice size and large backyard with hot tub and soothing pond/fountain. Amenities nearby for groceries and restaurants. Quiet street.
This property surpassed our expectations. We are first time users of VRBO and are sold on the accuracy of the description of the property and the neighborhood was quiet and very clean/tidy. We felt so at home here and look forward to visiting again from Canada. Awesome local restaurant The Green Barn. Thank you for making our vacation so enjoyable. We can’t recommend this property enough especially with the wonderful and spacious backyard. Thank you!

I had a wonderful stay here with my dog—plenty of space inside and out, with a huge fenced yard perfect for fetch. The house was clean, beautifully decorated with local Redwood-inspired touches, and felt very private and peaceful. The hot tub was a great bonus, though it had a slight odor—nothing that ruined the experience. I appreciated the well-stocked kitchen (though oddly, no salt and pepper!), and the fragrant flowers and koi pond added to the charm. There was a faint incense smell indoors, which didn’t bother me but might not be for everyone. The location was ideal—close to scenic hikes in Arcata Park, the stunning redwoods, and even a fun visit to the zoo in Eureka. Highly recommend this spot for solo travelers, couples, or families looking for a quiet, nature-filled getaway.
We had such a lovely time staying at this cabin! My dog and I stayed over the weekend, and friends joined me for a few days afterwards. We just felt so easy hanging out there, and I always felt safe walking around the community by myself. We also experienced all the kinds of weather this area has to offer and the cabin was great to be in for all of it.
Random side note: I have to say this is the first time I have enjoyed the house coffee at a rental! Being able to walk to nearby amenities or drive up north or south for adventures was awesome. We were also able to patronize local businesses, and everybody we met in this neighborhood was just lovely.
Lots of thoughtful touches like the dirty dog towels and USB points in the kitchen. Easy check in and great communication from the host folks. Thanks for a great stay!
The house was clean, we loved the big finced in yards and the hot tub. All of the beds were very comfortable. We will definitely be back in the future.
The location of this place was really great, McKinleyville itself had the necessities, the very cute towns of Trinidad and Arcata are within a 10 minute drive, and the epic redwood parks are about an hour drive. Actually, if you want a quick redwood hit, the Arcata community forest is breathtaking and very close. This place was also really great for our dogs, including a fenced spacious yard.
