Overall, we had a good stay. The home was as described and had everything we needed. The check-in process was straightforward. It was a comfortable place for our trip
This was a great place to stay. Had everything our family needed and more. Close enough to restaurants and the ocean but far enough away from the noise of traffic and the city. Definitely would recommend and would stay there again!!
The house was clean and the location was quiet. It is a little rough getting to the house and it is a bit of a distance from eureka but overall a great experience
This was a great house to use as a home base. Far enough out of town to be peaceful, but close enough to run into town. Easy check in, and clean. We will book again next time we are in the Arcata area.
Beautiful surroundings in an immaculate home. The road leading to the home can be challenging. McKinleyville, Arcata and Eureka are nearby with stunning ocean views and hiking opportunities.
The location is wonder. The house is nice, but the house does not have air conditioning and due to the heatwave during our stay, even with available fans, the house became increasingly uncomfortable. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves.
The property is off the beaten track and quiet. Sitting on the deck was a delight. The home is cozy, without having tons of knick knacks in the way. Little extras like laundry detergent, plastic baggies, kitchen towels, etc. made us realize the hosts thought through the visit. Thank you so much for these type details.
Absolutely gorgeous property with a very cozy home! It’s the kind of place that you want to just stay there and enjoy nature! Perfect place if you have dogs; lots of room for them to play! Very prompt communication from the management company. He even let us know about local attractions in town. It was an amazing vacation! I highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing getaway!
Property is even better than advertised. Comfortable and lovely home and scenic property. A great escape.
Communicative and response host made for easy check-in/out.
Highly recommend. Worked perfectly for our Redwoods trip, wish we could have stayed longer.
P.S.
Majestic wildlife was a major perk. Property is aptly titled.
Great getaway for Christmas and perfect location for the greater Humbolt area.
The only draw back is the road to house is not well maintained. My jeep had no problems but it can be bumpy and muddy if you are in a normal car.
Loved it overall, highly recommend it.
Nice quiet location near the Northern California coast
We had a lovely time. We used grill and the kitchen. We loved having 3 tables for eating and games. The kitchen was nice but don’t count on seasonings and there are some missing items like a mixer…could use more flatware too. Was clean but spots on carpet. But that is nitpicking.
Very comfortable. Could have used large bowls for salad. Floors were not clean enough for bare feet. Beds and linens great. Setting terrific. Dining chairs uncomfortable.
The property was perfect for our family of 6. It was fun to explore and the grill and outside seating were delightful in the evenings to sit out and stare at the stars and relax after a busy day. Came to visit our daughter in college and staying up in the tree's made it feel like a relaxing get away. Far enough away but close enough to everything we wanted to do and see. I would love to see the kitchen stocked with more condiments and spices, aside from that we were able to home cook some meals for our girl. Since there are 5 girls in our fam, maybe a few full length mirrors in each room would be nice for "getting ready." Loved it here, comfy, clean, plenty of bedding and towels and everything we needed.

stay at Falcon Perch
The property was not as large as expected from the photo. The accommodations were sufficient for our small group, a family with 2 adults and 2 children as well as 2 grandparents. The only negatives were that the king-sized bed mattress needs replaced. I, as one of the grandparents, had terrible backaches every morning and sometimes had a hard time sleeping because the mattress was terrible. Pillowcases were too small for the pillows, several inches sticking out uncovered. Otherwise, my son, who is very tall, noticed that in the hall bathroom, the top of the shower door was not very clean. Also. toilet brush in master bedroom needs replaced. Hence, my 3 stars for cleanliness. We were satisfied with everything else.
Very clean and well-kept property. The last stretch of road was really rough with holes, but we made it with our van in low gear. We had everything we needed, down to nightlights in the bedrooms for kids. We appreciated the toiletries, towels, equipped kitchen, and general layout of the home. We loved to see all of the calming art on the walls. The bathroom art was quite appropriate for the location. Ha ha! The views from all the windows were beautiful and the trees were so comforting. We were able to have several encounters with the deer that were grabbing a snack in the grassy area nearby. The couch was so comfy and the perfect spot to curl up with a book as the rain came down outside. Our 11-year-old said that the window area to the left of the TV was “so aesthetic.” We had one issue and that was trying to close the front door and lock it for the first time. The bolt wasn’t lining up right. My husband had to pull up on the door itself to make the bolt go in the slot in the door frame. We had to do that every time we left. The property was kid friendly and so relaxing. We would love to stay again.
We were looking for proximity to the redwoods parks and Eureka, as well as seclusion and were rewarded with this beauty. Off the beaten path, quiet, and still close enough to nature's attractions. Thanks!
This is just what iI was looking for for a getaway with my wife. This being only my second trip to California andy wifes first, it was swclude enough but still an easy drive to all the attractions that we wanted to see in our time here. We saw multiple black tail deer and quail in the yard. I would definitely stay here again.
The views were great, the cabin was impeccably clean. Great place to unwind and escape. Big lagoon, Samoa peninsula and the coastal Redwoods was phenomenal.
