20th birthday celebration
The house was located in a quiet neighborhood. Back Yard was lovely with private hot tub. Open floor plan complete with free library and sitting room to read. Close to Mad River trails. Close to Safeway for food runs, beaches to watch the sunsets and redwood trails to explore! Great place to stay!
Cute, clean house in a quiet neighborhood. The 3 bedrooms were great. 1 bathroom with 6 people...requires patience. Close to beaches, redwood trails, and shopping.
After having spent the previous 10 days at a different location. We arrived at this lovely home, it was a breath of fresh air and we were finally able to relax and just breathe. It was perfect and what we very much needed.
This is a lovely little home. The garden is such a delight. I appreciated the number of bedrooms and seating options, and the huge amount of bath towels. I would really love to have had dressers available since we were staying for a week. More kitchen towels and toilet paper would have helped for a longer stay but it wasn't terrible. Loved the different coffee making options! My kids enjoyed the games available. Just a pleasant stay, nice neighborhood, and great garden. Thanks so much!
Exceptionally clean. Lovely front and back yards, full of flowers and trees. Good quality kitchen tools, including a hot water kettle, a French press, and coffee maker with filters. Plenty of nice towels and blankets. Great location for exploring Eureka, Arcata, and the beaches & redwoods to the north. Very close to grocery stores and restaurants in McKinleyville. We didn't use the hot tub because we were too busy exploring the area.My family had a great stay here. Note: all three beds are doubles, with two pillows per bed. We bought a couple of pillows in Arcata because all four of us sleep with two pillows.

Beautiful North Coast soot
The house was great - lots of common space, wide open up to date and well equipped kitchen, beautiful backyard with lawn, dec, hot tub and a million flowers.
I loved the area as well. Quiet street in a neighborhood surrounded on 3 sides by coast, parkland and meadows. Half block walk to a wheelchair accessible trail leading to a bench to watch the sunset over the Mad River flowing into the Pacific. McKinleyville is small but still has a Safeway and a supermarket size Eureka Natural Foods store.
I borrowed one of the two nice bikes and took a ride on the Hammond Trail, a sweet bike path just a block away that connects up and down the coast.
I would totally stay here again.

The house itself was okay and matched the listing, but the check-in process was a hassle. I received confirmation that my verification had been completed three nights before arrival, but just a day before check-in, I was told there was an issue and that my booking might be canceled due to an incomplete verification process. This caused a lot of unnecessary stress. Communication was also frustrating—since it was managed through a broker office, I ended up speaking with different people who gave me inconsistent information. Overall, the stay was fine once I got in, but the experience leading up to it could definitely be improved. Also, we ran out of toilet paper and was told they only supply one and I needed to buy my own
