"Staff was unbelievable!!! Food was great.
This place may not be a success without the present staff. Dog sled girl was amazing. Snow mobile girl was from Hawaii. The restaurant manager was hands on and just never stopped!
So corporate if you read this make sure you treat this staff. Oh the aurora was awesome too.

"My daughter and I spent four nights in this beautiful, cozy cabin in January. The cabin was comfortable and well appointed. The host was generous and responsive. The cabin was conveniently located just out of town and in the hills, yet a quick drive to everything. We were surrounded by trees but could step onto the driveway to see the aurora. I highly recommend staying here."

"The host never responded to us at any point. She did not send us the code for the key to get in to the place. We were only able to get in at all because of a friendship with the people who rent another place on the same property who were able to contact the property manager. Then once we did get inside, there was no water available. Most likely it was frozen. But we had to haul water from another location in order to even be able to flush the toilet during our stay. Showers were not an option available to us. The host never apologized or contacted us at all."

"Amazing place! We stayed there on Christmas night and it was absolutely magical, we even were lucky to see Aurora lights right above the house!
The place is very welcoming, new and clean. The host is very nice.
If we decide to come back to Alaska, we would definitely stay at the Modern Aurora Retreat."
