Weekend trip with my Son and his girlfriend and my Daughter and their two young ones, Location was great , we could hear the rushing water from the cabin if you had the doors open, Very scenic, very nice fire pit with sort of a lighted Gazebo, Stream was everything we hoped for , Cabin was very nice, set up well . We'll very likely book this cabin again in the future !
This “Water Edge Cabin” is the great place to come and just relax! If you like fishing it is good vacation spot and lots of enjoyable activities and moments! Thank you!
Beautiful property and something for people of all ages. Kids enjoyed the creek, yard, fire pit, pool table and foosball. First time in Mccaysville and super cool town!
We read all the reviews before booking therefore there no surprises. We really enjoyed the cabin and sitting by the firepit at night enjoying the no kid vacation. Beds were comfortable, the water got hot fast, theres also a neighborhood dog that came up when we arrived she was super sweet. As i said overall definitely a place id stay again. Make sure when booking to read the reviews and the emails so you know what to expect.

Nice location but some concerns
Super close to the state line in McCaysville. Super cute town with shops and dining. The icemaker is amazing. The creek was very relaxing. There a few complains though.
1. We were there all of 48 hrs and while we were out shopping, received a text that said maintenence was coming over some time to change out a few lightbulbs. When we got back it was obvious they were there while we were out. All our belongings there unattended. This is unacceptable and so inappropriate and a violation to our privacy!!
2. Would have been nice to be informed of how bad the road and driveway is. If you dont have a 4wd or all wd, you wont make it.
3. Basement shower has mold on the floor.
4. Door in 1/2 bath gets caught on floor and is loud.
5. Paper products are super thin, bring your own.
6. Checkout on website says 10am but white binder says 11am. They would not budge.

location was beautiful but in and out from the cabin was challenging because of drive way
we were very excited at first but it all started from drive way. so we have decided to park our car on the road. it was yearly family reunion and we were all very excited to be there but when we entered in to cabin and try to unpack and organize foods and stuff , but refrigerator was not working and freezer was leaking water into the refrigerator. I did call management office and told them and someone was supposed to come out and check things out but no one showed up until we left cabin. Also wash machine was not working so our brother had to fix before we used it. We started out our vacation cleaning kitchen area first. And we were gonna make this vacation meaningful as possible and try to have fun but something was biting all of us and it was flea. Nature itself was beautiful and enjoyed deer family every day but we have decided to cut our vacation short and checked out one day early.. All of us were very disappointed but at least we were all together and made this trip happy and meaningful. Every year our families get together somewhere in mountain but never had these kinds of experience.
Beautiful clean cabin. Great location way off the main road. Drive way is a little tricky and its not as much fun to fish if you cant keep them but its a great place to stay. The river is so beautiful. Pool table was fun to have
All rooms and spaces were very clean and fantastic views. The driveway and route to cabin is very precarious but once we were there - we enjoyed our time.
Had plenty of room for everyone, great place for get together with family and friends. Enjoy the outdoors and the creek in the backyard for tubing. Neighbors very friendly and helpful.
Fabulous stay at the Waters Edge cabin. So peaceful and serene listening to the flowing of the river each day and being able to feed the deer. The cabin is exactly as described. Loved every minute of it.
Enjoyed the peaceful setting and sound of the river. Encountered some wildlife, including a black bear that was startled by our presence and ran away. This cabin is definitely away from city life, but close enough to stores and restaurants if needed. Very nice place to relax.
The house is cute, layout is a little odd. The outside space is amazing! We enjoyed the game room downstairs and had a great time relaxing by the water and the firepit. The boys really enjoyed fishing in the river. The views are great!!!
The house was great. My family enjoyed the river and the game room. Sitting on the porch was nice and peaceful. The driveway is pretty steep and there's not a lot of room for a full size truck to turn around in the driveway... I'll also mention that its down a long narrow dirt road. It didn't bother us but worth noting. We only met another car once but had to back up a bit to find a place to pull over. We had great time.
This is a very nice cabin and so relaxing.. yard full of deer at dusk. The sound of the river was so relaxing while sitting on the top balcony. Needs a tv in the living room where the comfortable furniture is. Cabin was clean but for the amount of the cleaning fee, there was dust on the tables and dried food on the knobs of the stove. Definitely would rent it again
Would rather have had a diswaher or hot tub instead of bidet on every toilet.
No dresser or storage area to unpack clothes. No ball for Foosball table. Poorly stocked kitchen, lack of pots with largest maybe 6 cups. Went and bought one, left it there. Enjoyed the scenery.
Our stay at the cabin was truly enjoyable. My wife, my 10-year-old son, and I had a wonderful New Year's Eve, just as we had planned. However, I do have a suggestion: the descent to the cabin could be better maintained. It’s quite steep, and the vehicle tends to slip near the top, which could pose a risk for inexperienced drivers. I had to reverse down the slope to gain enough momentum to make it up the hill. For reference, I was driving a Highlander, not a 4x4.Another minor concern is the parking space under the tent. Maneuvering the vehicle requires several back-and-forth adjustments due to the limited space available. Lastly, the heating was preset to 68F, which felt too cold for someone like me coming from Miami. I hope you don’t mind, but I adjusted it to 72F for comfort.Overall, it’s a charming cabin, and we had a great time!
