Property is thoroughly sanitized and disinfected between guests and as a added health precaution there will be AT LEAST 3 days between each guest stay.

You will be staying in a newer post frame building on 62 rural scenic acres that will accommodate up to 4 guests. Located northwest of McArthur in Vinton County Ohio about 8 miles from Hocking Hills State Park and related attractions. Two separate bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. Living area with reclining sofa, recliner/rocker, big screen TV, and wifi. Fenced front barnyard with gas grill and firepit.

Beautiful ridgetop sunrises. Wildlife viewing utilizing trails located throughout the property. The property is managed for wildlife so it's hiking only on the trails (no vehicles) however the area is home to Ohio's largest concentration of ATP (ATV) trails at both state parks and private establishments.

There is fishing at Lake Hope, Lake Rupert, and Lake Alma, all of which are approximately 20 minutes from the property.

The barn is tastefully decorated and supplies all needs. We are state park adventurers and the barn’s location was perfect. We visited 8 state parks during our stay. Highly recommend staying here.

19th Anniversary

We had a wonderful time of just R&R the property is far enough away from town but close enough for other things. The property is gorgeous and we took a walk around and seen the wildlife. The cabin is so cute and cozy.

Quiet country stay

Thanks to the host for great communication on check-in, quickly answering questions and providing a great country place stay. The house is accommodated well, quiet and very comfortable. Beds were new and the house was very clean. Would stay here again!

Anniversary Getaway

The property is Very Clean. Everything was as described. This is a nice cozy cabin for a relaxing getaway. We would stay there again. The owners were very attentive and gave us suggestions on places to eat and visit in the area. The dual function coffee pot was a nice surprise.

Relaxing

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a small weekend gateaway. The property itself is beautiful, we wanted something where we were not close to a lot of other people and this was perfect. Close to a lot of the attractions in the area and the hosts was more than accommodating and we will be staying here again! Loved it!

wonderful little barndominium

Unique barndominium with lots of nice hot water, close to Old Man's Cave, etc., good instructions for check in/out, and cute decor! Owners were great! There is no wifi and TV has a few channels, but we went to enjoy the beautiful leaves, so wasn't a big deal for us. Beautiful property and easily accessible!

Perfect off-grid spot

My friend and I were looking forward to a weekend getaway to hike Hocking Hills. Property is close to the trails had everything needed for a perfect weekend. Fire pit, quiet surroundings and no wi-fi was exactly what we needed. Close to restaurants and gas station if we needed something. When we come back to the area we will definitely look to book here again!

Wonderful, secluded get away

The house was so pretty and very clean. The owner was very thoughtful will communication of the places to visit, along with the coffee, kitchen utensils, grill, and fire pit. We toured the property and seen deer, turkey, and bats. The view of the stars while sitting in front of a fire was so beautiful and unobtainable in the city. We loved our time here and would definitely book here again!

Little peace and quiet

This home was perfect for a girls trip. Bruce was very attentive and nice. His home was clean and the directions he gave us from how to enter his home to how to check out, was super simple. I lived the tranquility in the area and it wasn’t far from anywhere we wanted to visit. We loved every moment of our long weekend!!

Mother/Daughter Hiking Getaway

My daughter and I had no trouble finding the place. It was exactly as described. We had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner - the gas grill was very handy. We were happy to find that there was just enough spotty service to get our GPS on our phones to get us to our destination every day. We enjoyed ourselves.

Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect place for us to stay! It was very clean and cozy. Close to Hocking Hills but away from the crowds. The home had all the conveniences we wanted in a simple, uncluttered way. We were able to access the beauty that is Hocking Hills and relax at this wonderful property. From the gas grill to the outside seating, the adorable kitchen to the cute bedrooms, this is a fabulous little place. Bruce was easy to communicate with, offering tips so we could enjoy the locale. Did I mention how clean and neat it was? We cannot say enough about how happy we were with the accommodations. Thanks for making our weekend getaway fabulous.

Such a pleasant stay!

Great place to stay! It was incredibly peaceful and there were even a few trails on the property to check out. Highly recommend for any nature lover/ hiking enthusiast and would absolutely stay again!

Adorable and cozy stay about 20 min from Hocking Hills State Park. Absolutely perfect for our needs. Enjoyed walking the property’s trails adorned with beautiful purple and yellow wildflowers. Loved everything about this place!

One of the cleanest cabins I've ever stayed in , it's stocked with everything you need to cook with. Very comfortable and the trails on the property are fun to hike. Only 20 mins from Hocking hills State Park

Wonderfully unique and clean property.

A great place to get away from it all. My friend and I trailered our motorcycles here to explore the Hocking Hills area. Away from the traffic but still close enough for easy day trip of riding. Quiet nights/mornings and a wonderful property to hike/explore. I walked over a mile on the grounds and got my heart rate up for some good exercise. Extremely clean interior and a well-maintained rental. Would love to come back some day.
