Historic hotel in a good location. The rooms were clean but somewhat small. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, with a buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage (or brats), home fried potatoes, waffles, fruit, and yogurt. We used public transit (primarily buses) extensively, but the staff were not knowledgeable about which bus routes stopped near the hotel. The $15 per person, per day MuniMobile transit card was well worth the expense, given the steep hills in San Francisco which make walking to most destinations an exhausting experience.

Breakfast, pool, and location are the perks of this hotel.
