La Pierre Claire is located in the heart of Provence in Les Alpilles Natural Regional Park, between the villages of Mouriès (3km) and Maussane-les-Alpilles (5km).


Surrounded by olive groves and fragrant garrigue, Mouriès is considered the olive oil capital of France, with traditional mills and weekly markets brimming with local produce. Stroll its traditional streets, pause at a shaded café terrace and let the slow Provençal rhythm work its charm.


Just minutes away, the neighbouring village of Maussane-les-Alpilles (5km) boasts its own unique appeal, beloved for its pretty central square, excellent bistros and the lively Thursday market. Meanwhile, Le Paradou (6.5km) enchants with its sleepy lanes and authentic stone houses, home to the famous Bistrot du Paradou.


A short drive also leads to the spectacular Les Baux-de-Provence (8.5km), a dramatic hilltop fortress ranked among France’s most beautiful villages. Explore its medieval ruins and take in sweeping views over Les Alpilles. Outdoor lovers can hike or cycle through the incredible landscapes, a protected natural haven of limestone cliffs, pine forests and olive groves where golden light bathes every vista.
