Restaurants and shopping are walking distance away and some amazing snorkelling and baby shark sightings out past that Maui jetty. "Overall we had a wonderful experience at the Outrigger, location was good, staff were very friendly, the adult pool area was a favorite spot to relax. There was enough variety of activities to keep everyone in the family entertained. The hotel had a nice atmosphere and was the right size where it didn’t feel busy and you got to know the staff. A hidden gem we found was the Kalokalo bar near the spa. Manasa the bartender was a great member of staff who made us feel welcome and was excellent at what he does. The food was just ok, repetitive, and the quality could have been better. The Mexican night menu at the Kana buffet needs to be redone as we didn’t find it very authentic or resembling anything they eat in Mexico. A suggestion would be to have an Indian night with some nice curries and more vegetables. All in all we had great stay at the Outrigger and would consider going back."
