"We arrived rather late after a long drive from Cape Town, and were dismayed to find that the buzz boxes weren’t working. Thankfully we followed in a truck and they could hear the honk at the closer gate. The receptionist was very nice. The lodge that we stayed in was spacious but the floors were dirty and the bathtub needed to be run a while to get past the dirt in the pipes. Be aware that they don’t have dinner options, regardless of the first picture, and town is about 15 min away and restaurants close early. We ended up with road snacks for dinner. Breakfast was good and filling with a great view of the giraffes. Wish I would have sent a message to the hotel about our arrival and food options ahead of time. "

"Please note, that it is surrounded by a township. We were not super impressed by the food, which is basically an mix of typical European dishes and lacks all African. The electricity went off all the time during the evenings. Other than that the guesthouse itself was really beautiful. "
