  • This property is nestled on the east side of Lake Paradise, just southwest of Mattoon, Illinois. The home has a private master bedroom with a king bed and closet. The second bedroom is also private and has 2 queen beds. This property is furnished in a relaxing lake house style with a sun room, garage, fireplace and smart TV's with internet. Access to the lake with a private dock and outside seating. Sit on the couch and watch the bald eagles. Lake Paradise does not have a beach and we don't recommend swimming.

This was our 4th year of staying at the house. The house is so comfortable. Nicely decorated and has all the essentials for a great stay. The lake access makes it so peaceful, sitting by the fire pit or doing some fishing. Tom and Salisa are great hosts.

When we arrived, we were amazed at this hidden gem. The entire place had an inviting vibe, from the bedrooms to the dock. It was beyond comfortable, with several areas to sit and catch up with family. The hosts could not have set this place up any better. We will return next year.

Home away from Home

We come to the area regularly to visit family. Staying at the Lake House makes everything a little bit better. We enjoy watching the birds on the lake and hearing the songbirds in the yard. Peaceful!
