"We liked the vibrant hotel and the gracious front desk. Our room was clean and we did have a partial view of the ocean. It is about 1 mile from Sorrento and I don’t think it can be walked safely (no sidewalks). There is a bus stop that can take you into the city right outside the hotel— for either the EAV or Sita. It will also drop you back. You can purchase bus tickets ahead of time at a tabacchi shop or pay on the bus. We found the EAV came around more often when we needed it but expect that it comes about every 30 minutes. There are barely any call buttons or signage where you are on the bus route so google maps is very handy to figure out when you need to get off. The hotel itself suites our needs. The included breakfast had a lot of options, which we enjoyed. We liked the quiet and that the city was a little bit away. "

"Property was clean, had a shuttle to town but we never used it due to time we needed was to early. We did however use public transportation that was right outside the hotel. Was very cheap. And we saved money by not having to get taxis. Rooms were cleaned daily. Breakfast was great. Variety of options. Eggs, pancakes, different fruit. Over all was a great stay. Close to restaurants and stores "

"We had the most wonderful stay at MelRose Relais. Pasquale the evening server in the restaurant was incredibly friendly, and helpful with several suggestions for things to see, where and when to catch the bus which was super close by, as well as food and wine suggestions each night. We loved how he went above and beyond and it was a pleasure getting to know him. He was a highlight from our entire trip. All of the staff were friendly and available to help with anything. The evening the restaurant was closed they arranged free transportation to another local restaurant which was one of our best meals in Italy. I saw that some people complained about the drive way but it wasn’t overly long and even after recent ankle surgery it was easily manageable. The buses were frequent and took less than 10 minutes to get us into Sorrento. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. "

"One of the best views . The view of Naples Bay is incredible. Perched on the hillside gives one a wonderful view . The staff were great . They sent the shuttle for outside the schedule.would definitely recommend . The Expresso Martini at the bar is sublime. "

"Absolutely beautiful boutique hotel! Location is ideal to visit Sorrento and the entire Amalfi Coast without the crowds nor the noise. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a spectacular two-floor suite. The staff was extremely attentive to our needs. We were in communication with the concierge two months before we traveled. They helped us book small-group boat tours to Capri and Amalfi/Paisano, booked restaurants, gave us a ride to the nearest busy stop, They also made sure I celebrated my birthday the best way possible. They even give me a special dessert on my birthday…twice! We were treated like royalty! I recommend this Italian jewel without hesitation. Ciao!"

"Our room was spacious, clean and towels etc were changed twice each day. The balcony had an amazing view of Capri. The staff were incredibly attentive and really helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, they even provided a wrap for my wife when the weather turned cold one evening. I used the gym each day and whilst the equipment was basic, the gym was quiet and there were adequate weights, mats and running machines. The sauna was also great to go in after the gym. Breakfast each day was great. Very fresh, good selection and again, nothing was too much trouble. My wife is gluten free and they made her bread and cousins fresh each day. Whilst the journey into Sorrento is a 20 minute drive, the hotel offered a free private shuttle that ran regularly. Most times, we had the shuttle to ourselves and we used this service several times. The hotel is incredibly quiet and relaxing and if this is what you are looking for, I would highly recommend Relais Blu. We would definitely stay again. "
