Great location to San Juan Old town. Hotel staff very helpful and room a nice size and clean. Had 2 night here before a cruise and would certainly recommend it.

The entire staff was welcoming and friendly. Throughout the common areas they had soothing aroma therapy. The room was large and well decorated, lighting was very adjustable, bed was incredibly comfortable and the rainfall shower was fantastic. The 2nd floor heated pool near the bar is a nice plus, as are the chairs, towels, and drink service at the beach. We also visited the rooftop restaurant which was a bit pricy but had a good vibe and tasty food. Did I mention it's also right on the beach? Definitely would visit again.

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday at El Conquistador Resort, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The resort was luxurious, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing — exactly what I wanted for such a special milestone. There were plenty of food options and activities right on the property, so we never ran out of things to enjoy. The staff made the experience even more special. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and treated me like family. A special shout-out to Miguel and Padero for going above and beyond to make my birthday celebration feel extra special! I’ll admit, I was initially nervous when I was told my room would be located in the Marina area near the waterpark. I had even requested a move. However, after staying there, I was so happy they weren’t able to accommodate the change — it turned out to be a wonderful location and worked out perfectly. My only small disappointment was that I paid for an ocean view room expecting a full, unobstructed ocean view, but received a partial ocean view instead. I do wish the website clarified that option more clearly. That said, the overall experience far outweighed that minor issue. I’m already planning my second visit — and I can’t wait to return!

We loved our host, our location, our room and the bar! We look forward to staying at El Colonial again in the near future.
