Aden Barn is a beautifully presented, terraced barn conversion situated off a picturesque cobbled street in the historic seaside village of Allonby. It boasts a full length galleried feature window to the front and has a light and airy feel. Converted to a good standard, it has solid wood flooring and with its elegant décor, Aden Barn is a superb base from which to explore the area. The Western Lake District holds a number of surprises and none more so than the stunning beach at Allonby. You can walk for miles along the beautiful sandy beach taking in the breathtaking views towards Scotland across the Solway Firth. Try your hand at windsurfing here, with its reputation for being one of the best places in the North West. With its quaint cobbled streets Allonby has a wealth of places to eat and drink with bars, cafes and restaurants as well as the famous ice cream shop on the sea front – people travel for miles to sample the ’Allonby whopper’! Beach 100 yards. Shop 150 yards, pub and restaurant 40 yards.

Had a great time at Aden Barn. Spotlessly clean, quiet, warm and cosy and well equipped with everything you coul possibly need. It was the perfect place to stay for exploring this part of Cumbria.

Nicely converted barn, with clean, warm and spacious open plan ground floor, well laid out with kitchen and dining areas, comfortable sofas and large TV, close to Allonby beach and a great location for exploring the coast and the northern end of the Lake District. The kitchen was well equipped, keen cooks might find the worktop space limited. Large immaculate fridge, freezer less so, just needed a wipe. The barn has a useful downstairs wc. Upstairs, a well designed and modern bathroom with decor sympathetic to the period of the house. The double bed was very soft, so backache was a bit of an issue for me. The barn is situated just behind a row of houses facing the coast road through the village, which affords it shelter from onshore winds.
Great property, very clean, homely, peaceful. Everything you need. Owners on hand if you need them.
Great facilities nearby with shop, tea room, park and beautiful coastline. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

We stayed at this awesome barn conversion last week for work. We were extremely happy with the property and all its amenities. The owners were really helpful also. Sadly this barn is booked up until the new year as we would of stayed there for duration of our contract. 10 out of 10.
