"What a fun and eclectic place to spend the weekend and celebrate my husband's birthday! The house (referred to as a "Hobbit House"), was built in 1910, and customized by the current owners, which makes it an adventure in architecture, but we loved it! I will say that if you're a large person, you might find the place a challenge, as the rooms are small (only one way to get on the bed), and good luck getting upstairs to the second floor loft. I'm just over 5 feet tall and hand to bend over when I got to the top. My husband, who is 6'2", had to crawl on his hands and knees to get to a point where he could stand up. You can enter the upstairs from the outside/front of the house, which is much easier. There is art in every room, from hanging mobiles to masks adorning the walls. It's like staying in an art gallery! The location is just two blocks from town, and I highly recommend The Coast Cafe. Both the restaurant and our lodging were pet-friendly, which was a deal breaker for us. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay and we hope to go back."

It’s beautiful and peaceful-a delightful escape from the city . 3 bedrooms and baths, laundry, TV, hot tub, barbecue, double oven, and I love to swim in the lagoon. This year there was a lots of seaweed so swimming wasn’t terrific but nonetheless that didn’t deter from the overall wonderful experience! Love Stinson lagoon!"

"Wow! This home is in such a fantastic location, with outstanding views. The bedrooms are bit small but the rest of the house is spacious, and it is very well equipped. I think we have stayed in 30 or more vacation homes and for us, this was the best - just steps to the beach, 180 degrees views and right on the water. A 4 or 5 minute walk to the local businesses. A place I really hope to come back to. Wonderful to be literally surrounded by water - the home is built on what used to the wharf (I think) and watching and hearing the tide come in and out was great."

"The location is incredibly beautiful but be advised very remote with a long and winding drive to anywhere. There is a little town a close walk with small markets to get food and drinks. Bolinas Beach is also a short walk. Loved the outdoor gas fire place and used every evening. Beds and linens very nice but rooms small with no dressers. So difficult to completely unpack. Did have closets. And some had shelves. Would have been nice to have a book with information about the house and how to get to places like the beach from the house. Had to ask locals. Host was quick to answer when we had questions though. Overall the natural beauty and the wildlife made this a lovely home. We saw deer on the property daily. Nearby we sighted seals and dolphins and even a group of otters."
