"My husband and I arrived at the hotel around 1:30 am after driving for over 8 hours. The young lady at the desk was unable to find our reservation which we had made a week before. She called her co-worker for assistance and he found our reservation fairly quickly. Once we got our room key we headed up the elevator with all of our bags. When we got to the room we noticed a do not disturb sign hanging on the door handle. We did not attempt to use our room key because we figured the room was already occupied. We contacted the front desk and the young man came to investigate further. He knocked on the door loudly but no one responded. He then attempted to use her master key but he still could not get in. We all went back down to the front desk hoping he could find us a vacant room. He checked the computer and the security officer even tried to help. The young man made a few phone calls trying to reach an off-duty manager but had no luck. This went on for about 30 minutes or more. I was extremely tired and ready to get some rest because we had a busy day ahead of us. The young man finally found us a room on the 7th floor. When I walked into the room I noticed paint on the floor and carpet. I looked up I saw the terrible patch job on the ceiling. It looked like the ceiling had a leak at some point and someone attempted to repair the situation but they lacked the skills. We were given a discount for our troubles. But the rundown rooms did not match the pricey rates and parking fees."
