"Fully stocked with dishes & good selection of pans. The only things I couldn’t find was a potato masher & plastic storage containers. Luckily I brought my own Rubbermaid containers. . Pleasantly surprised with trash bags/recycle, dish tablets, dish liquid, hand soap, paper towels & night lights. I brought mine, but didn’t need to use them. Loved the toy box & books for my 2 & 4 yr old granddaughters. Mr. Potato Head & Mickey/Minnie Mouse were big hits!! We loved the rustic interior & very comfortable furniture & beds as well. The granddaughters thought it was so cool sleeping in the tucked away beds in the wall in one of the bedrooms. The grill was great too for kabobs. The only negative was the stairs being open treads & pretty steep. We got used to navigating, but maybe the treads could be bigger & closed with risers. Overall, we loved our stay & would definitely recommend it to others! I owned a condo in Indian Beach & did weekly rentals, so I appreciate lots of dishes & the little extras that the owners carefully thought of. Thank you!! We stayed 8/21-8/25/2026."

"Just a few issues. Bathrooms on hall with the 3 bedrooms need to be cleaned better. Kitchen range take awhile to heat up and was in need of a good cleaning. Also needs new knobs. Chairs to kitchen table need to be replaced. Ice/water dispensers do not work. Sprayer at kitchen sink sticks. Pool metal stairs and hand rail to other stairs are loose. Bolt lock to outside door of master suite does not lock. Grill was in serious need of clean. Propane was low so even after cleaning it we could not use it. Would suggest someone really take care of the place. It is worth renting. Otherwise the place was room and we enjoyed out time together."

"What a wonderful stay at Plum Crooked Cottage! We absolutely loved it.The porches were one of our favorite parts of the trip. Sitting in the rocking chair on the front porch, listening to the creek, was so peaceful. The cottage is full of charm and character, with thoughtful details in every nook. The loveseats were incredibly comfortable, the bed was cozy, and I especially enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful clawfoot tub.The location is perfect, just minutes from downtown Marshall, yet it still feels like a peaceful retreat. Our pup felt right at home, too.The thoughtful touches from the owners really made our stay special. The fresh bread, homemade jam, and other welcoming extras were such a treat and made us feel genuinely cared for.We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Plum Crooked Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain getaway!"

"The house and the property were beautiful and spacious. The house was very clean and well taken care of. It's even nicer in person than in the photos. The main floor covered terrace was large and very nicely furnished. We had an excellent time hanging out on the terrace and watching the beautiful sunsets over the mountains. I can't praise this house enough! It was exactly what we needed and we loved every moment of our stay!"
