Nice Stay
Came for a family get together and eclipse viewing. Great location, nice house and yard, amentites. There were a few minor issues but would recommend this property. We had a lot of fun at the house and surrounding little towns.

Great fall getaway!
We booked our stay over our kids fall break. The colors were amazing! We were impressed with the home and the setting on the water. The grounds are kept up well and it is a quiet neighborhood. The home had everything we needed! Close by there is a biking park that we biked to and mostly hiked. We had it to ourselves and it was beautiful scenery and well maintained. The town of Marshall is small, but we did not book it for shopping or town, but we enjoyed getting pizza delivered and visiting their coffee shop. The central location of this property is great, many state parks within driving distance. We enjoyed our stay very much! Highly recommend!

Beautiful Lake Home
The home was spacious, updated, private. Nice size bedrooms, large bathrooms, huge gathering areas. We loved the lake the most- pristine water, privacy, fun spaces to entertain or just lounge by the water. My friends all gave me 5 stars for finding this place. One of the best we've stayed at over the past 5+ years. Owner was great too- very accommodating, responsive. Took a fun visit to nearby Casey, IL (about 15-20 Mins) and saw all the BIG things they have in town. Thank you for a nice vacation!!

Beautiful Family Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this Mill Creek home. The home is beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. The child-friendly basement was perfect for our two grandchildren (ages 2 & 3). The location is beautiful and quiet. TJ was quick to respond and meet all of our needs. We wish we had been there long enough to take advantage of all the property had to offer. We would definitely recommend this beautiful home.

Overall excellent location, home, etc. Would recommend to any family trying to get away for a long weekend. Only critic of the property was a few areas of cleanliness. The ice maker was a bit dirty as was the fridge down stairs. Other than that, great spot and excellent host.

Annual family vacation

Celebrating a birthday and Christmas with family
We are a family of 7 adults and an infant that stayed for two nights to celebrate a birthday and Christmas together. TJ was a very attentive host that responded quickly to any messages. We loved how open and spacious it was. We took advantage of the beautiful Christmas decorations by taking some family photos. It was definitely a very enjoyable stay.

Great place to relax
We rented this home as an alternative to several hotel rooms. It has such character and a ton to do for the kids. The home was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Everything was there that you need. Thank you so much for helping make our weekend memorable.

Perfect getaway!
What an awesome place to get away from it all, relax and have fun with friends! Gorgeous lake and the trees this time of year we’re beautiful. The house has everything you need/want for a great vacation. We cooked and grilled out, had a bonfire, enjoyed the hot tub, and the tiki bar and dock were perfect for our group of 8. We highly recommend this property and plan on coming back!!!

Fantastic lake house vacation!
Our family loved staying at this beautiful lake home on Mill Creek. The house is just lovely and the property so peaceful. We found everything we could have possibly needed in the house and much more! We stayed Sunday thru Friday and lake was never crowded. The dock area and tiki bar are amazing! We enjoyed boating and swimming every day, seeing deer every morning, and listening to owls in the evening. The hot tub was the perfect way to wind down at night and a great place to gaze up at the star-filled sky. Everyone in our group was really impressed with this home. Thank you T.J. and family for sharing it with us!

Our 3-generation family had a great stay! The home and the lakefront area are beautiful and exactly as described. Very clean! We especially appreciated the golf cart to go back and forth to the lake. Fantastic getaway
Our stay here was fantastic. The hottub was very relaxing and the home was beautiful. Plenty to enjoy for all ages and only a few hours from Chicago.

Had a great time!
We were really the first ones to stay for the summer season. The house was wonderful! The dock was a beautiful place to hang out. Since we were the first ones the tiki hut wasn't really ready to go quite yet but TJ called Bryan his handy man and he got right on it! Everything was wonderful and we had a great time.

Amazing home!
The pictures of this property do not do it justice, the home is lovely and perfect for a family getaway. We have small children and the basement kept them more than entertained. The property manager was extremely helpful! One of the best VRBO experiences we’ve had!

Incredible Property!
We've stayed at a lot of different properties over the years, and this house was by far one of our favorites! The house is stunning, the amenities are wonderful and the view and the lakefront property were simply amazing! We hope to head back during warmer weather to get to enjoy the outdoor space even more, but we made some amazing memories just hanging out around the large dining room table in the great room of the house. Highly recommend this property!

Our Spring Break
I have stayed in many VRBO properties over the past decade none of which compared to the amenities and location of this one. The home was perfect for us and our 5 grandchildren. The Basement allowed everyone to have play time, rest time and the home allowed for us all to have together time in the great room and large dining. The view was spectacular . If looking for a place to take the entire family you certainly must stay here. The Owners and management team were so very helpful .. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to visit as a family in such incredible accommodations ..

Incredible view, huge living room.
We have been on Mill Creek for years but this has to be one of the best views of the lake. The kitchen is beautiful and the open concept lets you really enjoy the view. It was chilly but the dock will be perfect in the summer. The Tiki Bar looks so fun. There are several steps..100 plus…but well worth the trip down to the lake. We will be back!

Wonderful family retreat!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the home was perfect for family time. It was so spacious! There were lots of kitchen items for cooking and serving Thanksgiving dinner (including a smoker for our turkey). Our kids really enjoyed the basement level. Our only issue was with slow wifi speed. We would definitely rent this property again, especially during the summer months to enjoy the lake.

Great location! Beautiful home. We had a wonderful time. Just beware, there are 90 some steps down to the dock. That could be difficult for some elderly folks & small children. I didn’t realize that from the listing. The owner was great to work with, very accommodating!

When you walk in to the main room it is beautiful and so spacious! Plenty of room for game nights and preparing meals. The view is beautiful. Best dock on the lake. Spent lots of time there. Bring camp chairs for around a camp fire if you plan on s’more making. View from the camp fire area is spectacular.

Lovely spot by the water
Our two families with young children loved this place. The basement was a kids' dream and there was plenty of outdoor space for them to run around. The location on the lake was great for grilling and relaxing by the water, and if you have a boat or like to fish, this seems like a good place. We especially liked the Tiki hut and the hot tub. The house is very clean and well-kept, and the kitchen was actually very well-stocked (but we brought our own food, so didn't need to use any). There's not much to do in the area, but it doesn't really matter, as this place has plenty to keep you entertained. I'd recommend this place for any small get-aways with kids if you don't mind staying put.

We loved the house. Clean, relaxing, and awesome basement for the kids. It was too cold most of the time to enjoy the dock and lake but the kids didn't mind with the great basement. Plenty of toys and fun things for them to entertain themselves. House that seems like it would be great fun in the summer months as well with the lake and nice boat dock!
