The pool was our favorite part. Loved the long veranda to enjoy our coffee. Room was clean and nice size with comfortable beds & pillows. Air conditioning was amazing. Service was good except we did not get our room refreshed any day of our 5 night stay. Would stay again.

Good hotel but poor fitness room .

Hotel was good , good breakfast , comfortable bed , clean room and kept clean . I’m a sporty guy and chose them because they said they have a fitness room which I was let down by, really poor from that point of view .

Great Location

The location , the comfort, the breakfast and the cost are a few good reasons why I will definitely come here again . The fitness room is not even close to what I expected ( having to join a gym to keep my training going ) and the treadmill definitely needs some maintenance. Apart for that , all good . Clean , good service, people always smile here and I wonder if it’s got anything to do with the weather ….

The room was okay, the staff was friendly. We were not happy about the private parking of the hotel. Sadly the gate of the parking stayed wide open day and night during the entire duration of our stay, and for 10 euro per day we expected a 100% safe spot for the car. Also the videocamera in the parking was blocked by a big truck… The breakfast was a bit dissapointing. For 13 euro pp we expected more than yesterdays croissants, eggs we boiled ourselves, and few slices of emmental, no fruits, and a yoghurt that was one day expired. Pay attention when you walk on the sidewalk in front of the hotel if you want to avoid dog poop on your heels. Please don’t go to the snack bar ´grillades au feu de bois’ around the corner. When queuing for a sandwich around 9 pm, we almost got involved in a stab fight, when the employees started arguing in between them. Luckily the macdo was close by. It was also usefull to have a supermarket close by.

The property itself is nice and clean. The location is a bit out of the city and the area around it is dirty. Hotel itself is nice but the area isn’t great.

All the staff were polite & friendly, but particularly Elie. He was very helpful and gave us advice about takeaway restaurants, the metro, trams & taxis. Elie is very professional and is an asset to Hotel Kyriad; nothing was too much trouble for him. We were also impressed with the substantial breakfast that is offered to guests for a very reasonable cost. The hotel was clean with nice decor and furnishings. It’s quick to travel to the centre and the south of Marseilles from this hotel as the metro and tram services are excellent

It was my first time in Marseille and the hotel is located in a dirty neighbour hood. On top of it there was civil manifestations in the city so not recommended to go out! But when in the hotel it is fine.

The first room smelled like smoke so they changed us without hesitation. The carpets need to be replaced and the walls repainted. The secured parking is a bit far and you need to have a phone to call the hotel to open the doors otherwise you are stuck. The walls are thin you hear your neighbors. Breakfast is ok. The staff very friendly.

The area is not nice. A lot of overloaded dustbins next to the hotel. The carpet of corridors are dirty. The AC was extremely noisy. No blinds on the windows. The lobby was some times too warm and stincky. Another issue is the incivility of some other guests, which from my opinion is due to the perceived quality of the hotel.

Slightly disappointed…

Having booked a Superior room we were disappointed with Room 023. It was situated behind the laundry rooms and we felt we were in a broom cupboard. The finish in the bathroom was poor (bath broke at end, plug socket not working and hot and cold taps reversed on one sink) and the most annoying issue was the toilet was set too high and at 5’3” my feet were dangling once seated. There was no full length mirror in the bedroom (reception informed me it broke and it had not been replaced). Not enough hangers and no iron. It was confirmed my reception that it was a superior room so assumed our expectations for Marseille were a little too high, although we felt these faults should be standard for any hotel offering. On a positive note the pool and area was spotlessly clean. Five stars to the person maintaining this area.
