Central, Great Value with good service

The hotel faces onto one of the city’s main shopping streets, so is very central and convenient. I was granted early checkin on arrival which I was grateful for after a very early start. The room was quirky and reflects the style of the old building it is in. Everything worked ok though and the staff were great.

Lovely staff. The fact that we had to climb to the first floor via stairs with luggage to get to reception was bad. The lift from the first floor up is tiny, barely enough for a person and luggage to go up. Our room was reasonably clean and comfortable but it had a cockroach. I assume that is normal in older buildings but I don't like them.

We were three colleagues, and all our rooms were hot with insufficient AC. Additionally, we had dirty towels, bad sheets, and full trash bins. The reception closes at 8 PM.

The only thing good about this hotel is the staff. Mommo (sp) was wonderful and helpful. But the rooms are old, and the ones that may have been renovated needed more work. I looked at 3 rooms, chose one I thought was fine but after settling in I looked up to see the vent was covered in mold! I changed rooms again and the shower was moldy. The toilet paper holder and soap dispenser were like those in public restrooms. Despite promises that the reception would be staffed until 7 or 9pm, there was no one there most nights after 6pm. It was very eerie, since the staff told me the hotel was almost empty. They also need to be more transparent about the fact that the reception is on the 1st floor (second in US terms), so you have to go up almost 2 flights of stairs to get there. They were nice and helped me with my large luggage, but if someone has difficulty climbing stairs it would be a surprise. Also, nowhere in their information does it say that they are in the pedestrian area of the Old Port, so cars cannot get near. I would not recommend this hotel unless they totally cleanup and redo the rooms.

Accès ultra difficile. Accueil au premier étage sans ascenseur. Avec les valises c’est sportif ! Chambre vieillotte et pas propre. Sous le lit et près des prises c’était très sale. Pas d eau chaude dans une des chambres. Le patron était au courant et nous précise que nous sommes les 3eme client à lui remonter. Petit déjeuner = un scandale. Inexistant. Salle éteinte à notre arrivée. Aucun choix. Le petit jeune de l accueil a dû aller à la boulangerie acheter une baguette et deux croissants. On m’a invité à me rendre dans la cuisine pour aller moi même me chercher une tasse à thé. Fin de vieux pots de confiture séchée et de vieille pâté à tartiner. Rapport qualité prix = à revoir complètement

Expérience mitigée

Un étage d'escaliers avant d'arriver à la réception ; chambre au cinquième étage alors que l'ascenseur s'arrête au 4. Pas de vrai fenêtre, mais des vasistas dont les vitres n'ont pas été lavées depuis des mois voire des années... Télé qui ne fonctionne qu'en alternance. Même pour le prix, on est en droit d'en attendre plus. Restent quand même le personnel compétent et sympathique, et l'emplacement en centre ville.

Plus jamais là-bas

Chambre non prête a mon arrivée, une fois dans la chambre des arrivées ou autres et câble électrique sorte du sol. Pas d'eau chaude dans la chambre quand j'arrive a la réception il me dise de faire couler longtemps( vive leco-responsabilite) pour que l'eau chaude arrive. Quand je réessaye toujours pas d'eau chaude a mon retour a la réception dsl on aura pas de technicien avant mardi donc on me propose de me rembourser immédiatement et de me trouver un autre hôtel car il non pas de chambre libre .... De repasser dans 20min. Après 20 min on m'informe que je serai peut être remboursée dans 3-4 jours et qu'il ne peuve pas Appeler un autre hôtel. Donc il m'on clairement fait perdre mon temps tt en sachant les problèmes qu'il y avait... Juste pour remplir une chambre
