Lovely stay for the Rugby World Cup - my only issue was I didn’t really do research on transportation to Marseilles so that worked our expensive. Overall happy with the hotel though - thank you

Comfortable room but less than stellar customer se
Hotel is a bit out by itself and somewhat plain but room was clean and comfortable.
The staff was largely friendly with one fairly serious exception. One evening I arrived back at the hotel at 9 pm, the front door was locked, per normal schedule. When I used the code I had been given to open the door, the electronic lock buzzed but the door wouldn't budge. I tried a couple more times with no luck pushing hard enough that I was concerned I would damage the door. At this point the male owner came out and started yelling at me in French. I regret that I don't comprehend French better but I was unable to understand what he was "saying". He seemed to be indicating the code should work so I tried one final time and after a huge push was able to get the door open. While I feel bad I wasn't able to get the door unstuck initially, I didn't feel that yelling at me was an appropriate way to deal with the situation.
We were also a little disappointed that the hotel wasn't willing to compromise on their cancellation policy. We had car trouble which resulted in us arriving one day late. I had called the hotel to inform then of this change and we still stayed multiple nights but they refused to adjust our stay for the one missed night. While this was within their rights, for a multiple night stay it seemed they could have been more understanding. The other hotel affected by the car trouble was very gracious and understanding for just an overnight stay.
