lovely hosts in a beautiful riad!

our host rashid was so helpful and his english is excellent! we’re so lucky to have his help with dinner, spa and excursion reservations. we had a great time at every place he recommended :) our flight was canceled and they were able to accommodate date us for an extra night. it really feels like home away from home!
excursion to ourika waterfall, booked by rashid. tour was led by a berber who helped me climb this mountain in flip flops (wear real shoes)

Friendly nice riad

Very friendly road in local area, just a few mins from the Souks, about 10-15 mins walk to main square. Very friendly helpful. Up a few small passageways. Relaxing Very quiet at night.

Booked a room the address is hard to find if impossible. I called the ad said he has parking included I called to find way to the house and where to park. He replied. He can send me the another area and. Would like to be paid extra and in cash. I just wanted to go in and wash up so instead of giving me better directions he starts the trying to upgrade. I just wanna know how to get there. Needless to say I never found the place and rented at a place called just V hotel and spa. It was amazing. Sad I Part is I want a refund and why is Expedia advertising for these guys

Wonderful stay

The Riad is clean and Rashid and his team were lovely and welcoming at all times. They advertise soundproofing which I assume are the shutters but they are not effective. However a Ria is basically a funnel which amplifies sound - it didn’t affect us too much.

Riad carino, pulito con personale gentile e collaborativo ( se si ha la pazienza di spiegare e rispiegare, assicurarsi delle proprie richieste, ricontrollare ) anche se non sempre professionale da 4 stelle ( in Marocco c'e sempre una stella in piu' ) e solo inglese e francese. MOlto gentile e carino il ragazzo piu' piccolino della reception e cosi' pudico da non voler quasi la mancia, cosa ininmmaginabile in Marocco . Colazione scarsa ma piu' o meno e' cosi' in tutti i riad. Fregatura con Expedia che non ha promesso la camera prenotata. Ma ça va sans dire...si sanno gia' questi scherzetti. Situato nella parte della Medina piu' tranquilla:::::: piacevole , meno caos nel souk ma distante dai principali monumenti e piazza.

Overall I am happy with our choice, I have to say location is little hard to find and it’s tricky specially if it’s your first time visiting this town. Also I wish they were offer us something to go for breakfast since we were leaving around 7:30am for our Sahara tour! I did not think about that till I heard other Riad offered to their guests. That would make me more happy than just tell me no breakfast since you are leaving early.

Liebenswerter Ort der Entschleunigung

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und haben uns während des gesamten Aufenthaltes sehr wohl gefühlt. Kein Wunsch blieb unerfüllt: sei es der Transfer vom und zum Flughafen, individuelle Frühstückszeiten, Ausdruck unserer Tickets für diverse Aktivitäten, telefonische Rücksprache mit den Veranstaltern, zusätzliche Decken für die kühlen Nächte und Insidertipps. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, das Zimmer sauber und schön eingerichtet und die traditionell ausgestattete Dachterrasse bot eine gemütliche Zuflucht, um sich von der Hektik der Medina zu erholen. Wir danken Ali für seine Gastfreundschaft und können das Riad uneingeschränkt empfehlen!!!

Einzigartig idylischen Ruheoase!

Wir waren absolut begeistert von diesem kleinen schönen Riad! ein großes Dankeschön an Ali, der immer sehr hilfsbereit war und sich sehr gut um seine Gäste gekümmert hat! Mit nur 5 Zimmern ist Das Riad sehr überschaulich, was in dem quirligen Marrakesch aber sehr gut tat, da es wirklich eine Oase der Ruhe war. Trotzdem war man in weniger als 15 Minutem, vorbei an authentischen und schönen Innenhöfen mit Läden und relaxteren Soukgassen auf dem Djemaa el fna. Ein paar Gassen weiter konnte man in einer weniger touritsischen Gegend super frisches Brot, Obst und Gemüse für unterwegs besorgen. In direkter Nähe zum Königspalast war es in der Umebung immer gut beleuchtet und wir haben uns in keinem Momant unsicher gefühlt, auch wenn wir spät Abends durch die Gassen zurück zum Riad gingen. Unser Zimmer Jasmin war im 1. OG und sehr angenehm beleuchtet. Die Dachterrasse lud zum abendlichen Verweilen ein und es roch überall sehr angenehm blumig durch den Orangenbaum im Innenhof.

Nuestra habitación resultó ser bastante pequeña y bastante calurosa. Estaba ubicada en la azotea del riad. Al llegar la dirección intento cobrarnos más por la reserva a pesar de que constaba que la hemos hecho para 3 personas. Después de aclarar todo, no tuvimos más problemas y el personal del Riad resultó ser muy amable.

Very close to the medina.

It was a pleasant stay. Ali and Janess are very humble and kind people. You will have to speak a little French if you want to speak to Janess as she doesn't speak any English. Ali is very supportive and tries to accomodate as best as he can. The hotel is very clean and I will possibly go back. If you want accomadation near the medina, stay here, however be prepared to pay a small fee to one of the lads that will help show you were it is situated as it down a few cobbled streets. Once you find it, you won't get lost again

A charming riad in a super location

Bottom line: we would definitely be happy to stay at Riad Louaya again. You need to be aware of what you're buying into when you choose to stay at a riad, which is to say that you shouldn't expect 5-star hotel luxuries and sterile, ordered perfection. What makes Louaya charming is the slight roughness around the edges. That said, the location is wonderful: well within walking distance of all the main attractions. The staff couldn't be friendlier and more attentive. The decor of the rooms is charming and romantic. The breakfast is excellent. The evening meal - which we had once - was very good. The terrace is perfect for catching the sun. And the whole place just has a relaxed, welcoming, family-run feel. Two things to bear in mind. As this is an old-style riad, privacy in the rooms (as regards sound-proofing) is not amazing. However, there is minimal noise from the outside world. Lighting in our room was a touch on the dim side. However, overall, we throughly enjoyed our stay here and were sorry to leave.
