Very beautiful Riad in an amazing location - staff were excellent and complimentary breakfast really good. We have given 3 stars for property as our bathroom had a terrible smell. Overall we enjoyed it here as our first stay in Marrakech

Everything was excelent - staff, room, breakfast, location, interior, safe, well equipted with anything we needed, even fresh fruits served in the afternoon or tea with cookies. Staff was helpfull with every single need, housekeeping amazing too! Breakfast was delicious and very big each morning, area where breakfast served was so beautiful and refreshing for the eyes, with birds chirping all around you! We definitelly come back there!

I loved my stay at Palais Donab! The staff was friendly and accommodating. I was happy to have arranged a car with them to get me from the train station as it was my first time in Marrakech. The daily breakfast was EXCELLENT. My room was great- spacious, cool character, great AC, and a comfy bed. I thought the location was great and it was easy to get around the city from the riad. Would definitely recommend staying here!!

So it’s been 20 years since I stayed in this old beauty a d not much has changed. The furniture once new was now a bit dated, it’s falling apart a little here and there but really this is just nit picking. The menu was a little limited but it was well cooked. If you are looking for a sublime beautiful retreat in the heart of the medina then look no further. It’s a tremendous grand beauty. It’s in the best location and the staff are more than helpful. 9/10

Nice Riad in great location, easy access to taxis

great stay, very good location, major problem the hotel shows up in the wrong place on gps. no problem if taking taxi, but we were lost trying to find where it indicated on "maps", the hotel should fix that bad link. pool was pretty, but not as clear as one would expect, breakfast fine but not as great as many other Riads.

Beautiful architecture and decorations. Warm service and delicious food. Very quiet and great break away from the craziness of the city. Minutes away from the souks. Very safe area as armed guards are at the top of the street for the royal palace. Arrange a private driver from the airport through the riad as you’ll never find it yourself.

Peace and quiet in the heart of Marrakech

Palais Donab is a traditional Riad situated inside the old walls of Marrakech, immediately north of the Souks. The surrounding area is a maze of little lanes and alleys that are consumed by the noise of scooters, merchants offering their wares, calls to prayer, bustling crowds, donkeys pulling heavily laden carts, but ... ... step through the front door of Palais Donab and everything that goes on outside can be put aside! Instead, you can enjoy the sound of birds singing and the gurgling of the pool whilst relaxing under the shade of an abundance of citrus trees or resting in your room. We spent 5 nights in the Royal Suite, which was very spacious and provided everything we needed during our stay. The staff are lovely and the speed of service is relaxed, reminding us that we were there to slow down and enjoy aspects of life that our normal manic existence can often overlook.

Amazing property, helpful staff, superior food

We visited Marrakech in March 2018 and stayed at Palais Donab for 4 nights as part of our trip. The property was amazing, and was the most well-maintained riad we stayed at on our trip. The staff was very helpful, coordinating our taxis & restaurant reservations -- and the food at their restaurant, as it turned out, was better than much of what we experienced across Morocco. .

Tivemos um up grade para o maior quarto, mas de qualquer maneira todos eles precisam ser amplos, confortáveis e limpos. Decoração e móveis novos. Funcionários atenciosos e falavam inglês e francês. Localização ultra segura, por estar do lado da casa do rei, é bem próxima e de fácil acesso à praça principal, onde tudo acontece! Restaurante e café da manhã muito bons!

Convenient location for the Artisans

Staff are wonderful, make you feel very welcome. The atmosphere of the Riad is very calming and their dining room around the pool/courtyard is excellent.
