Demeures D’Orient is a hidden gem with the Riad courtyard layout providing perfect tranquility but only a few minutes walk from all the excitement of Marrakech and all the sights. The staff were incredible. All incredibly helpful and friendly. The Riad is family owned and managed and it was great to get to know the whole team there.

An oasis of tranquility in a busy bustling, sometimes overwhelming Marrakesh. Beautiful property, sympathetically turned into a stunning Riad - a stones throw from the Souks. Feels like a film set from another era. Lovely & helpful owners & staff. Thoroughly recommend.

Nous avons passé un agréable weekend au Riad, et avons beaucoup apprécié le cadre et l'attention du personnel ainsi que les conseils. Seuls bémols, les chambres un peu froides en hiver (début février), mais ça sera un avantage plus tard dans l'année, et la coupole donnant sur la grande baignoire en marbre. Bien que cela fasse un joli puits de lumière, c'est aussi une fenêtre avec vue plongeante depuis la terrasse. Pas génial si on n'est pas exhibitioniste. Pourquoi ne pas remplacer les verres par du verre translucide (sablé, opal)? On a beaucoup aimé les friandises et le thé vert à la réception (les briouates .... miam!).

Here for our honeymoon, it was magical. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. The courtyard was our favourite part. Would come again!

A luxurious oasis in the heart of Marrakech’s Medina. Lounge by the pool or on the rooftop patio while enjoying great food and drinks. The staff are very attentive and the rooms are well designed and appointed .

Pleasant stay
The Riad is lovely. The location is difficult is find but paid help gets you home. The staff are a little in their own time, things don’t happen immediately. The breakfast is average but pleasant.. bed was two mattresses stuck together which led to a few accidents late at night…main draw back is the pool isn’t really a pool… you can’t swim it without smashing your knees in the floor. Only reason why we booked and probably wouldn’t return. The managers eyes are worth the trip though..

Hello Alex We are very surprised by your comment As we have 10/10 for our beds and comfort We also have 10/10 for our breakfast, you have eggs fresh juices croissants toast Moroccan crepes infinitely on demand each day everything is fresh and homemade so this is very surprising to see that you find it average ! and Also never had a complain before concerning the breakfast ! Such a shame you did not mention to us directly to the front desk those small details we could have done something to help you Unfortunately you did not come to us during your stay and made this comment after instead Concerning our swimming pool again you are the first guest since 2009 to complain about it ! please also note that we have one of the biggest pools of the Marrakech old town (11mx3) If you go to other riads you will clearly see the difference as they are very very small compare to ours . Next time please come to the front desk during your stay to make a complain so we can do something to solve your problems ! We wish you a good way back home

Real Marrakech
If you wish to experience the real Marrakech this is the perfect choice of accommodation. Outside is chaos but you enter the Riad through an impressive ornate door and step into calm tranquility. The staff are very eager to please and will quickly lay on transport when needed. We went out on foot for one night and it was fine but generally would suggest travelling by car at night. If you want the sanitised version of this city stay in Hivernage but this place, within a short walk of the souks and medina, is the real deal....

The place is very magical the moment you step in lots of attention to Detail extremely safe, Nice breakfast n the owner Xoe super nice Only down side to bring in these Riyad is it’s inside the old city so getting in n out not super easy

(Their stay went very well and they really enjoyed our hotel and our services.) After their departure we received an email from you, asking for a refund. Depending on the cancellation conditions of our partner Expedia.com we were not able to provide it to you, and moreover it did not needed to be seen as the booking was honored by your friends. You have therefore posted this false comment which is in no way related to the quality of our services and our establishment but which you have established as a result of our refusal to refund and for damaging our reputation. We do not tolerate this kind of attitude and false comment, so we have chosen to respond by restoring the truth to our customers. As you can see we have no other negative comments by our guest on Expedia We are deeply sorry for you and that you need to resort to this kind of misplaced and dishonest method.

Hubby and I stayed for 5 days at this beauriful riadh set in a seemingly relatively deprived part of Marrakech. But it is a hidden gem and once you get familiar with local area you dont feel any difference. Local people are very helpful wirh directions. Its eithin about 15 mins walk from Jemma el fanna and about 20 minutes from other attrctions. Hotel staff were amazing- very polite and curteous and helpful. The manager is french and is amazingly curteous. The riadh is perfect for couples looking for a romantic break. Rooms and amenities are very spaciois. Loved thr bath tub fit for two! Wake up to birds singing at dawn in the courtyard. Breakfast by pool or candle lit dinner by pool was so romantic and serene. Breakfast is simple selection of fresh pastries and morroccon pancakes, different fruits, fresh juice and either coffee or delicious morroccon tea. You can order ommelettes/eggs additional cost. For us a simple breakfast was good enough as we explored different outside. Overall we cant fault this Riadh. We had the best time together. Highly recommend it!

Only 11 rooms and almost no one was there. It was like having the entire place to ourselves. Amazing staff and service and super close to all the shopping. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in!

Lovely place to stay
This is a lovely quiet and peaceful riad very close to the Madina. I had a spa treatment while staying and it was very good and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is fine but not amazing, the pool is not in the sun for most of the day. the hotel staff are nice. breakfast is not amazing and we were only able to eat outside one day as there were too many bees buzzing around. AC in the room barely worked

Big disappointment !
I have stayed at this hotel several times before in previous years. Back then it was like a dream, the staff was nice, the food amazing, the service incredible. They had Aziz and his team who managed this place in a way that the client would feel at home and among friends. But this ambience has totally disappeared and the food is not as good as it was before. The Riad considers itself as a 5 star fascility but the way things are today, they are more like a 3 star facility. They have started to think more about where to safe money and the hotel guest does feel the difference; a year ago the hotel had 24-28 permanent staff members now it's only 8 (!!). Also the food does not have the standard it had before and the breakfast was very simple and had no longer the standard from before; every piece of bread, every orange juice or egg is counted for. This is not the magical place I used to know. Very sad.

Lovely riad but far too expensive for what else you can get for much less in Marrakech. Rip off with locals taxes - 70dh a night which is way more than I've been charged anywhere else in Morocco. Also, for 'their' taxi man, they just make up the prices. So annoying as the general staff are lovely and the riad is beautiful. So many better options for the money in Marrakech.

Beautiful, friendly, and caring staff who made the equally beautiful Riad even better. The stay was amazing. The rooms are like a museum exhibition. An experience I never had before. My wife and I loved it. Needed one more day.

Fantastisk miljö i gästhuset (riad) och ligger fint mitt i gamla Medina. Riktig tusen och en natt upplevelse. Fantastisk personal som är vänlig och väldigt hjälpsam. Bra frukost. Fin restaurang med lokal meny. Perfekt för yngre människor. För äldre saknas hiss och hjälpmedel i dusch (handtag att hålla sig i och halkskydd).

Accueil parfait, traditionnel avec Thé et pâtisseries marocaines. Notre chambre fut disponible avant l'heure d'arrivée normale. Le personnel est très agréable et particulièrement attentionné. Ryad très bien entretenu avec un calme extraordinaire.

Die Ruheoase im turbulenten Marrakesch
Sehr schönes und ruhiges Hotel in einer Sackgasse! Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen aber auch teuer! Ein Gläschen Wein 9,00 €, Hauptspeise zwischen 16,00 und 24,00 €! Die Stadt hat uns so gar nicht gefallen! Der Traum aus 1001 Nacht blieb leider nur ein Traum.

Sehr schönes Riad!
Wir haben ein Upgrade bekommen Und man muss schon sagen, die Suite war der Hammer! Das Bad war königlich! Ich find keine Worte um das Bad zu beschreiben! Die gesamte Riad-Anlage war der Hammer! Aber das Frühstück war sehr mager, da hätte mehr sein können! Fehlt an Vielfalt! Wifi war miserabel! Die Verbindung war so schlecht egal wo man war! Und was ich unverschämt finde, ist ein Tee in Rechnung zu stellen! Das war das erste Mal, das wir in einem Riad für Tee am Nachmittag zahlen mussten.
