Perched on a long sweeping curve of sandy beach, you can’t fault Marina (except perhaps that it doesn’t even have a marina).
The long stretch of sand that is Marina State Beach gets a steady wind, so Marina is great for hang gliding and parasailing. Flying kites is popular with families. Surfers ride the waves while walkers, cyclists and horse riders take in the ocean views. The rolling dunes of Fort Ord Dunes State Park are a great place to catch the sunset.
