Tourist Guide

Vibrant sunset over Presidio of San Francisco showcasing the coastal beauty of California
California scenic coastal cliffs along the Pacific Ocean with the city of San Francisco in the background. Blue sky with drifting clouds
Nestled along Point Reyes National Seashore, Alamere Falls is a unique hiking destination where a waterfall meets the ocean. The waterfall actually has several tiers and offer great views and a nice spot to cool off. Perfect #beach for picnicking too!
Alamere Trail is an unmaintained leg of the Coastal Trail in Point Reyes National Seashore. Well worth the time and poison oak risk. Picnic right between the Pacific Ocean and a waterfall. #nationalseashore #nationalparks
A gorgeous hike (trailhead is Palomarin) that will take you past sweeping views of the Point Reyes National Seashore, through a forest and past 2 ponds (yep, you can swim in them)...don't miss the slightly overgrown side trial that will take you to this 40 foot falls with 3 cascading tiers. A little scramble down the cliff and you'll be on the #beach with the falls behind you and the Pacific Ocean in front of you. It's not to be missed.

With rolling hills and all kinds of beaches, you won’t believe that Marin County is just across the road (or bridge) from big-city life in San Francisco.

Outdoorsy types and culture vultures alike will find their mojo in Marin County. Cultural events and festivals are all the rage, from fancy cars to fine wines to symphony orchestras. Foodies will feel right at home with all the farmland around. And for those who love the great outdoors? Try to spot some sea life, or if you’d rather, throw out a line and reel some in for dinner.
