"Die Fotos versprachen viel mehr . Ein Schlafzimmer, das Esszimmer, die Küche und das Durchgangszimmer sehr dunkel. Der Fotograph verstand auf jedenfall mittels Weitwinkel und guter Beleuchtung den Eindruck mächtig aufzupolieren .Schade , denn das Haus hat Charme und war eigentlich recht geschmackvoll eingerichtet. In der Küche fehlte es an manch elementaren Gerätschaften wie z.B. Brotmesser, Nudelseier usw. Dinge die man eben so braucht und die wir immer in den bis Dato gemieteten Wohnungen...

"Helaas zwakke wifi En de matrassen in de slaapkamers zijn aan vervanging toe. En de sleutel overdracht was erg lastig een halfuur voor het huis gestaan de werkster heeft ons binnen gelaten en melde dat ze het ook een lastig systeem vond. "Had a great stay in this hotel. Very friendly staff and nice attention to detail. Enjoyed the breakfast which had a good number of options. The quality of the hotel was better than the 3 stars it carries. We also ate in the hotel restaurant for dinner once which was very good. Great to try local dishes and produce. Well connected location close to the train station and Melk Abbey which was well worth a visit. "

"Great place to stay, extremelly clean, well arranged, friendly staff and ready to help. Very good restaurant, not too many options but they are changing the menu completelly on a daily basis! So for sure you will find someting new each time when you'll attend. The food quality is very good, starting from breakfast to dinner. Room impecably clean, everything very well maintained. The surronding area is very pleasant, on the Danube shore with hills around close to manh beautifully hystoricall small cities. A place to remember! Congratulation hotel team!"

"If you’re planning to visit Melk Abbey, be aware that Hotel Donauhof is not within walking distance—you’ll need to take a taxi, which costs about €16 each way. Alternatively, there's a bus that runs only once per hour. The hotel provides no in-room amenities—not even, tea or bottled water—and there is no air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable in the warmer months after June. There are no activity area around the hotel, with no restaurants nearby except the hotel’s own. During our stay, the elevator was out of order, and we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs. If you're visiting Melk Abbey, I would recommend staying in Melk itself. You'll find similar or lower prices, access to a charming small town, and several dining options within walking distance. "

"Hotel was clean however was brand new, continental breakfast was a bit off a let down, didnt think there was much of an option, couldnt even get a bit of toast even thought toast machine were there but werent allowed to use.. Air-con also wasnt working and it being very warm outside it was uncomfortable to sleep in.. Didnt get any information from the hotel about aircon not working before arrival.. Also no staff about at nite if needed for any issues or emergencies.."
