"My stay was very good. My only negative comment is that if you're staying during walnut season, be prepared for VERY loud impacts of walnuts falling from the trees onto the metal roof over the porch. The cabin is also just above the road and has several cabins nearby, so be ready for road and neighbor traffic. Other than that, I had a lovely stay. 8.5/10"

"We had a wonderful trip to Tom and Leanne’s cabin! It was a great getaway for myself and my boys and gave us a chance to relax and unwind. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting on the porch listening to and watching the flow of the river. There were plenty of places around the cabin to walk and explore. We saw a lot of wildlife including turkey, deer, egrets, osprey, geese, river otters, and even a bear cub. We cooked most meals at the cabin which is stocked with all the pots, pans, and cooking utensils you need. There is a well stocked grocery store in Marshall, about 30-35 minutes away. Another highlight of the trip was hiking part of the Appalachian trail around the Lovers Leap Loop. The views are spectacular. There are a couple of restaurants in Hot Springs. We enjoyed the food and the friendly staff at the Spring Creek Tavern, Iron Horse Station, and Vinyl Pies Pizza. The ice cream at Artisun is a must try! We also enjoyed talking with the owners of the Live Bait Shop about local fishing and the staff at the welcome center about all the area has to offer. In the evenings, we slowed things down even more watching movies and working a puzzle together. This was just the trip we needed with beautiful surroundings, plenty of time to relax and just be together. Leanne reached out several times to ensure we had everything we needed and that the trip was going well. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!"
