Hiked up to Hidden Lake Lookout. It's a very hard hike, 8 miles round trip and 3300 feet of elevation gain one way, however it was totally worth it! Beautiful views and an amazing camp site!
With the Cascade Mountains in the background, Marblemount Fish Hatchery was a pleasant stop. The hatchery has a self-guided tour and you can see salmon in various stages of growth. Walk down the trail (there's a big sign) for bird watching, as well as wild salmon.
Giant canoe paddle at the North Cascades Institute. This place offers weekend programs for families. Stay in a modern lodge and enjoy guided hikes, nature programs, campfire stories, and communal dining in a beautiful setting. More info at www.ncascades.org

Older hotel but renovated recently. Large spacious, well-appointed room. Bed was comfortable, inn was very close to North Cascades National Park.
