The best welcome at reception to a short-break possible; carried on by every member of staff. Not experienced such a warm and friendly staff crew in a long time. Parking was easy, something we dread in Cornwall, and reasonably priced at £10 per night. Our room (Jubilee) was clean and bright and spacious. Very large balcony with great views over St Michael’s Mount and the bay. The dining area, split into two: seaside traditional and seaside modern was lovely; with views from pretty much all of the tables. The sharing or starter plates were all interesting, we managed most of them over two nights. A brilliant little hotel, highly recommended.

Had a 3 night stay with our dog in the Jubilee Suite. Beautiful room with stunning views across to St Michael’s Mount. The room was extremely comfortable with lovely extra touches to add to our comfort. The staff are so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much. Being dog friendly is a great advantage and he was provided with a good size bed, blanket and bowls. The food is exceptional in the restaurant and good value. There is no rush and it’s a very relaxing dining experience. All in all a great location for exploring this part of Cornwall, clean, comfortable and above all welcoming & friendly staff.

Fantastic experience, every was excellent. All the staff went out of their way to make our stay special in every way. Food was amazing, as were the views. We've booked to go again.

Overpriced, poor service hotel
Not what you would expect for a hotel costing nearly £300 per night (B&B). Room accessed from street only. Overall service especially in the Shutters restaurant was not even adequate, it fell well below that. Poor slow service (35 minutes for breakfast to arrive), had to wait for breakfast table while manager dealt with a helicopter ride enquiry for someone else, requested a window table for dinner (special occasion) but the message had not been relayed and therefore not available. Spent over £120 on 2 course set dinner menu (no other choice) with wine. Totally underwhelming experience over 3 days. Can honestly say we have had better experience at budget hotels.

Beautiful hotel with personal touches
Reception were excellent. They were super helpful and the room was beautiful, with lots of personal touches. I slept like a dream as the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with a view overlooking St Michael's Mount. Staff are lovely and really kind, patient and helpful.

It was very cool, great decor but a really lovely relaxed vibe. Staff all really friendly attentive and helpful. Milk and brownies in the fridge + great options on mini bar purchases if you wanted . Ended up buying the room scent and hand lotion as we liked it so much. & the views and location are perfect. Want to go back.

Highly recommended hotel
The staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The food was nice and varied, locally sourced and accommodating for health issues. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The little extras were a nice touch including the milk, bottled water and brownies. The lovely bathroom toiletries were high quality and plentiful. We old highly recommend the place to anyone looking for an efficient and friendly hotel in this area of Cornwall.

A fabulous experience from start to finish. The staff are outstanding; friendly, professional and couldn’t do enough for us. The view at dinner and breakfast of St Michael’s Mount is incredible. The food was exceptional. We had a superb mackerel pate with a fabulous array of breads, sea bream (excellent) and the best crispy sea bass I’ve ever had. Really disappointed we couldn’t fit dessert in! The cocktails are something special too. The room was immaculate and very comfortable bed. Couldn’t fault a thing. Highly recommend and already can’t wait to go back!

Lovely hotel and our room had amazing views of the sea and across to St Michael's Mount. Staff were really friendly and helpful for the duration of our stay. Good quality room and we eventually found the fridge, which had bottled water, fresh milk (so no horrid long life milk cartons) and some delicious chocolate brownies ! We had evening meal in their restaurant overlooking the sea, which was quite expensive, but thoroughly enjoyed it and the food was excellent. Breakfast was really good quality and, once again, amazing views of the sea and St Michaels Mount. We did have a little bit of noise from the kitchen below us, but nothing that was obtrusive. Highly recommended place to stay.

Beautiful setting and wonderful service
Lovely hotel in a great setting, unfortunately we couldn’t go into St. Michaels Mount as it was closed but the location was perfect. Service in the hotel was great - you can see how much effort everyone has put in to reopen and be COVID-19 safe and it has been a massive change for all of the staff who work there and in the restaurants and pubs etc. Only thing I’d say is that you definitely need to book ahead for dinner as it’s quite busy in the town so will struggle to get anywhere on the night.

Great location but management sadly lacking. No proper check-in, no control over car parking, no where for guests to sit after 10.30 at night - we were visiting our son who lives locally and were told to go to our room so cleaners could clean on first night and on second night were followed upstairs and challenged by night porter as to how many were staying in our room. Disgraceful behaviour - at times I felt the staff beloved the guests were a distraction. Great location but avoid it if you can.

I'm sorry you were disappointed by your stay with us. We are a restaurant with rooms and so we don't have the hotel facilities that I think you were looking for - reception, guest lounge area etc. The reason you were asked about room numbers is for fire safety reasons. As I'm sure you can appreciate, we need to know numbers of guests in rooms at all times.

What a gem of a hotel. Quaint quirky and enjoyable. The room was well kept, we stayed 2 nights. The view if St Michaels Mount is amazing. Breakfast is great! Good staff, will stay again. We'll worth the cost.

Service from staff members was excellent. They made me and my partner feel welcome as soon as we stepped into reception. Food was perfectly cooked and we didn’t have to wait very long. I can honestly say I would recommend this hotel and we will definitely like to return.

Plush with spectacular sea view
We made a little tour through Cornwall staying at 4 hotels over 5 nights. The Godolphin Arms was the best value with unsurpassed views of St Michael's Mount. Our room was upgraded to sea view and was spacious, spotless and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. We would love to stay here again.

Excellent situation. Free parking. Beautiful room and comfortable bed. Good to have a fridge in room, with fresh milk and some home-made brownies. Safe wasn't working but we didn't require it so it didn't matter.

Excellent location - right outside the St Michael’s Mount which was beautiful to see for a mornings view. Breakfast was lovely and wholesome with plenty of choices. Staff were lovely and friendly and were very hospitable. Room had lovely decor with lots of lovely touches, such as milk bottles in the fridge and cake in the fridge for the guest to enjoy free. A few missing bits such as toothbrush kits or maybe a booklet to show all timings and contact info wouldn’t go amiss. No specific reception area to check in / out so was a bit lost at first. Overall a lovely hotel and excellent find. Will visit again. Thanks :)
