Pleasant stay
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at La Favorita. The staff were helpful and polite. The room was tidy and comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast.The only drawback was the unexpected €15 tax we had to pay when we were checking out.

Decent Business Hotel
This is a functional hotel that is located near the highway in an estate that seems to be a little forgotten about with some empty units. The public areas are good, and the rooms fine. The only drawback was the air conditoning was not working, or didn't work very well and that made the room even on a cool night a little uncomfortable for me. I had to log into wifi with social media and it made Facebook want to make me undergo a series of security questions later, which was odd. We didn't eat there but the breakfast was fine. Overall if you want a business hotel that is clean located near the highway then this is a good choice

A Busy Business Trip
The hotel was newly built. I spent two days there and chose it since it was outside of the city centre and closer to where I needed to be. A bit of mold a crevice in the shower that could easily be taken care of. The restaurant was very good and we did eat there both evenings. Breakfast was a number of buffets which offered something for everyone. I am gluten free/dairy free person and had no issue navigating the food menus at this facility. The only minor issue is that Google can't find the one address that it is listed at.Via S. Cognetti De Martiis 1 didn't work. Via Pietro Verri No. 13 did.

It is impossible to criticise the staff, the service or the cleanliness of Hotel La Favorita. The free wifi is perfectly adequate, the breakfast buffet is suitable for all tastes including vegans, the rooms are not only clean but are a decent size with modern fittings and the most storage space I've ever seen. The one thing that stops me rating it 5 stars is the location. Normally, an out of town hotel doesn't bother me if there's adequate public transport but unfortunately public transport in Mantova, especially out to the retail and business park where La Favorita is situated, is patchy and infrequent, and shuts down entirely after 9pm. I'd have walked to and from the historic centre if it had been safe to do so, but the hotel staff indicated that this would have involved walking alongside dual carriageways with no dedicated pedestrian route. A taxi costs between €10-€15 to get from the hotel to the station and though it's easy to organise at the hotel, when you've just finished eating out in the centre of the city at 9pm or later, the only reliable taxi rank is at the station where, because all the cabs are busy, you have to call a radio taxi number and wait. This is no problem if you have your own car or, for business people using the hotel and its facilities, using transport provided for you, but for the ordinary tourist the cost of taxi journeys makes it more sensible to choose a more expensive hotel in the city. I'd love to recommend La Favorita but it's too isolated

The only down side was it is a bit far out from Mantua, you need to get taxi in which costs around 14 Euros , it is about 5/10 minutes to get there. You cannot walk to the centre you have to drive or get a taxi. But good price and very clean and friendly staff good for a short break

Best in Mantova.
The staff is very friendly and efficient. Breakfast is fantastic; clean dining room and excellent food...real food, not continental style. Location is clse to a shopping center and a short, straight drive to the center of Mantova. The large reception area allowed us to receive guests comfortably/semi-privately. We'll stay here again.

This is hotel aimed at business people. Located well outside the city by the tangenziale you either need a car or rely on the local buses which only run every half hour (it's only 8 minutes to the centre by bus but over 20 walking on a main road with no pavement). This is the only drawback to the hotel, which is in a shopping centre with a very good supermarket.

Very convenient location few minutes by car from the town, shopping mall in the immediate neighbourhood, safe area, free parking. Excellent restaurant serving genuine regional dishes of quality, very professional and nice personal. Good wines. Great value for money!

Very welcoming staff who took good care of me from arrival to departure. The breakfast was delicious and there was a huge variety. They also arranged for me a car last minute for a meeting out of town. Thumbs up!

Decent Hotel, mostly good :)
Weekend stay for a relatives wedding in Mantua, read the reviews and thought this sounded like a good option. The location is a little out of the centre of Mantua, although not far- approx 5 minute drive. Generally good for the price which included a decent breakfast.

One night in Mantua/Mantova and this fitted the bill as we had a car. Rooms not overly expensive and looked good but a few cracks starting to appear.. Town was walkable and a very pleasant view as approach. On site restaurant looked good but we did not try it.

Good Business Hotel
Room size and comfort excellent. This a good business hotel. Location is easily accessible by car but no good if you want to stroll into Mantova itself. Despite this would recommend the hotel for someone on business.

Excellent out of town hotel - ideal for motorists
This is a very good hotel. My room was probably the least prestigious, but was very clean and air-conditioned, with luxurious soft bed linen. Wifi was free, and I had a strong, reliable signal. I appreciated the daily free bottle of water in the room. The girl on the desk was really helpful and charming. The breakfast was really good - lots of choice of cereals, breads, fresh fruits, yoghurts, cakes, meat and cheeses, etc.. The only weak spot was the scrambled and poached eggs, which were dry and crusty. I was disappointed to find that the fitness room was out of commission. The proximity of the shopping centre means that there are restaurants, bank machines, petrol and supermarkets (albeit somewhat characterless) within a few minutes' walk. This is fortunate, as the town would be 25-30 minutes' walk away - and a difficult walk, at that, though perhaps there is a 'back way' through to Mantua. Car parking was free. This is a great hotel if you want to see Mantua AND tour the surrounding area by car. If coming by public transport, it's much less convenient. Overall, though, high quality at a reasonable price.

Excellent stop at edge of Mantua
New hotel is part of an office complex and large shopping center at northeastern edge of Mantua -- about ten minutes from city center. A little hard to find if not coming off the highway from which it is visible. Clearly a commercial hotel for business travelers. Large room, modern fittings, quiet. Large balcony, but it looks across directly into adjacent office buildings. Restaurant on site with standard menu, good service. Large breakfast.

Good well designed modern hotel. Initially was potentially concerned bout location next to busy roads but due to good air conditioning the trafic noise did not disurb us at all. breakfast was good. Too far to walk into the City but dorve in and found parking easily in the town.

A business hotel without a soul
This hotel is spotless, the rooms are well decorated, but the staff is cold. The hotel is situated in a mall complex, just off the motorway, so depending on where they are situated, the rooms can be very noisy. I would not recommend this hotel if you are visiting the lovely city of Mantova: the centre of town is not within walking distance and parking is difficult. More suitable for business travellers who want quick access to the motorway.

I have used la Favorita four times for business. It is an extrmely modern hotel with excellent service and rooms quite close to the centre of Mantova (which is a revelation - few tourists and such atmosphere). By modern European services la Favorita is a bargain at the price. 5 minutes walk from a big supermarket as well. The best rooms have balconies - this in a new hotel (amazing) - ask for one of these. Stay there!

We loved the room, the bed, the amenities and the breakfast at this hotel. We had trouble finding it, but once we did it was fine. It's at the far edge of a very large shopping complex; nothing charming about the neighborhood. But the hotel itself is excellent.

Very modern hotel somewhat strangely situated in a retail park. As others have said, it is ideal as long as you have a car. Mantova is a beautiful city, off the usual tourist trail, and well worth a visit. Staff were helpful in advising where to park in the city. Adequate breakfast included in room rate.

Recommend Hotel LaFavorita for quality and attractiveness as well as tasty food, cleanliness and location. We had a suite and it was spacious. The hotel loction is recommended despite that the hotel is located at the end of a shopping center by an arena and also is located by a highway which would have appeared more attractive if shielded by trees, it would seem, though the room was absolutely quiet. Service was excellent as was the food. Staff was friendly and helpful. Can clearly understand the hotel's high rating. Would strongly consider staying at LaFavorita again if returned to Mantua.

An OK hotel with big rooms but there were some issues such as no tag to identify not to disturb so as not needing to refresh the room each day, moulds on the silicone joints and some stains on the walls
