I spent 2 nights in this wonderful VRBO. Perfect location, walkable to downtown Manteo and in a quiet neighborhood. Exceptionally clean and had everything I needed for my short stay. I'll definitely stay here again when I visit again!

Great location and fair rate

Came to OBX for birding, staying in this place in Manteo was the right move. Quiet town and close to most major bird sites in the area. This place was really nice; quiet area, great location, and even the grounds themselves were nice. Easy process for checking in and out too. Overall great time.

Short getaway

We had a very nice stay, The accommodations were lovely and matched the description. The owners were very friendly and helpful during our stay. Accommodations were very clean and the property is beautiful. We will definitely return again soon!

Uptown loft the best

We loved everything about our stay. The location of the apartment is super. You can walk to anything just about.We did go off to other places and had easy access to all kinds of activities.Great host. Local people so friendly!

A hidden oasis in Manteo, NC

I had a wonderful time staying here with my friend. We were perfectly located in walking distance of downtown Manteo and got to enjoy all this town had to offer. The room was so clean an inviting. The area is quiet. I locked myself out once and the host took care of it quickly. Already recommended it to friends.

Beautiful Charming and LARGE!

The interior space was exactly as pictured and even exceeded our expectations. It’s a great efficiency space that doesn’t feel efficient. It had everything we needed and more and was very clean. The home is currently going through exterior updates which I am sure will make it even more charming. Great to see they are investing in the property. We will certainly be back!

Quick get away

It’s a great studio apartment. All you need for an OBX retreat. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Owners are great and accommodating and very responsive to messages.

Great location

Loved our stay! Will be back. Bed was very comfortable. Linens were very nice and new. Everything was working properly. Great top floor location that was nice and private and quiet. The garden was great to sit in the rocking chairs. Very walkable to downtown manteo. Quick drive over the bridge to the beach. I’d just say bring your own coffee and creamer or go out for coffee.

Excellent and lovely property

The description and pictures of the property were 100% accurate. Short walk to waterfront, restaurants, and shopping. Communication with owner was timely and accurate. Place was clean, quiet, with a pretty garden area. We will definitely return!

Manteo Downtown

We were in town for the bluegrass festival in Manteo. This location is great for accessing downtown. The space is clean and very comfortable, with ample room for sitting, a good-sized bathroom, a nice-sized refrigerator, and a microwave. I will keep this in mind for future stays in Manteo.

Communicative and attentive host. Super clean. AMAZING ceiling fan! Very quiet. Room-darkening blinds. Lovely property.Great location, walking distance to everything in downtown Manteo. A short drive to the beaches. It was perfect for my mini vacation getaway!

Manteo Getaway

We had an awesome time in Manteo. The accommodations were exactly what we wanted for a long weekend. The room was perfect and clean. The gardens at the home were blooming and pretty. We will return. Oh and Kill Devil Rum is directly across the street. They are great!!! Thank you for a great weekend !!

Quick Getaway

The studio was beautiful. Just a pictured. Gardens were lovely, although we didn’t take advantage of them. Walking distance to historic downtown Manteo with lots of live events going on. We enjoyed our short visit.

Nice Studio Apartment In Manteo

The Uptowner was spotless clean and well appointed. Note that the owner not only adds a cleaning fee, which is understood, but also a host fee to the rental. Despite the added fee, the Uptowner is a very nice place and a fair value.

Extended weekend

The Studio room location is a 4-5 block walk to Queen st., where art studios, shops and restaurants are located. Convenient on- street parking is handy, with just a short drive to the barrier island. The weather wasn't conducive for us to enjoy the private back yard, maybe next time.

We stayed in the upstairs suite, it was roomy and comfortable. I rated good instead of excellent because in pics and advertising it appears to show a kitchenette, but that's not the case. There's only a small table and awkwardly organized dishes that have to be washed in the bathroom sink and the coffee maker is also in the bathroom. Property is sweet but would not stay there again.

Perfect Accommodations

The Uptowner Studio checked every box for our getaway requirements. If you don't want a busy hotel or a large 2-3 bedroom condo, this Manteo location is ideal. Knowing we'd be out most of the day to enjoy the Outer Banks, a full kitchen and extra rooms weren't needed. What a pleasure to come back to a safe and cozy retreat. We enjoyed the lovely, garden scenery, peaceful and private setting, and convenience to walk to The Front Porch Cafe for breakfast. Cleanliness is vital to where we stay and Uptowner Studio was super clean and tidy with all necessary, comfortable extras. We are already planning future visits. Thank you to the Uptowner Hosts for providing a lovely option in the Outer Banks area.
