"We had a fantastic time at Naqalia Lodge. This is a unique piece of paradise. We loved lying on hammocks in the gentle breeze, dipping in the crystal-clear water and snorkelling on the spectacular reef just steps away from the bures. We brought our own mask and snorkel, but you can hire ones there if you need. The bures are not luxurious, but they are clean and lovely. We loved kayaking around the island, going on the summit walk to the highest peak and eating freshly caught fish. The showers have only cold water, but we never once needed hot water as the temperature was so warm. We visited this beautiful island in early November 2025. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for showing us your island, for the delicious food and for making us feel like part of the family. Vinaka."

"Mai sunset is the perfect resort for people wanting a quiet stay, where you feel like family. The daily snorkelling trips (which are included) are not to be missed! The coral around the island is especially colourful and can see incredible fish at different times. It's definitely the most alive coral reefs we've ever seen in Fiji. We also went on a manta ray trip, and although we weren't lucky enough to see rays - we had an amazing experience. The ladder on the boat might need to be replaced soon though! The rooms are a perfect size, the outdoor shower is divine and the rooms have a small fridge too. Every staff member we met made us feel like part of the family and we spent so much time chatting with staff and other guests. We were one of 5 or 7 people on the resort during our stay and it never felt too busy. We can't wait to return! Thank you Liddi, Paul, Elinoa, Male, Saku, Jay, Ami, Api, Venni, Rusi, John and all the wonderful staff that make Mai sunset the best destination in the Yasawa islands. "

"Beautiful beach and surrounding area. The hike up to the peak is great. The food is amazing. Also a great place for solo travels in the dorms. The staff are helpful and friendly!"
