This is a new hotel in QC. I expected a clean , no maintenance issues. On my second day, roaches were found. Cleaning crew did not clean trash bin so some food juices were left. Since it’s for quarantine stay , there is no cleaning inside the room so I was hoping the trash bin would at least be sanitized or cleaned. Food choices are limited for those with special diets. A lot of staff try to get your list of desired or needed food but follow through was poor. There is an attempt to change your food but the wait is long. The price of food on the menu are a bit expensive given the amount and quality of food is mediocre. To get anything, you have to call front desk so sometimes it would take 4 attempts. I had to call front desk almost for all my meals, everyday for 10 days because of poor follow through with food restrictions. If you have mobility issues, phone is not accessible to your bed. This could be an issue for any emergency. There should have been an extension cord to make phone calls easier for those with mobility problems. The front desk staff are courteous most of the time but get cut short due to possible volume of calls. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for those with special dietary needs. The menu on Dash is limited to mostly unhealthy choices. Sometimes the fruit cups do not have fresh fruits. It would have been easier to order food outside hotel but was not allowed. I hope they included local dishes.

As a quarantine facility, the limitation of food choices for those with special diets should be considered. If it’s possible for those with restrictions to get food delivered, it would have been an easier stay. No refrigerator in each room is certainly a disadvantage because food spoilage is another issue. Leftovers have no place for safety storage. No ice dispenser makes it necessary to keep calling the front desk and staff is inundated with several calls to attend to those with special needs. The kitchen staff tried to amend the issues but were inconsistent. Several times during the stay, I had to call front desk to change the packaged food as follow through with diet restrictions have not been attended to. The quality of fresh fruits were mediocre and when food is served cold, like cooked meats, and dried out, near choking episodes were experienced. Soup was not included in the meals and eating dried cold food for 10 days certainly did not provide a great experience with this new hotel. Paying guests, especially those with more travel experiences may find the services, the food quite below the standards compared to other hotels. The need for safe handling of food for a lot of guests on quarantine should be explored. It would have been nice to have more Filipino dishes during quarantine and packaged meals should be balanced, less carbohydrates and more veggies and soup would have created a better quarantine experience. Cleaning of trash bins should also be done daily.
