Weekend stay
We have visited this hotel quite alot of times! I would not go anywhere else other than here, nice , clean lovely staff always wanting to help! The hotel is round the corner from print works, arndale and is reasonably priced! I will definitely be returning again.

Front of house were extremely rude and blunt. Manager on the other hand was brilliant. Room was dusty. Lighting was absolutely poor, all mood lighting. Barely any natural light.

Nice hotel but couple of glitches...
Great hotel BUT just 2 issues: there is a building site right nextdoor - so be aware that building works are NOISY and start early in the morning. Also - I've never stayed in such a dark room. With all the lights on and the curtains open (in the day!) I still could barely see. Needs at least one light that actually lights the room!

An average stay in a nice hotel.
The hotel and room itself were gorgeous, seems very high end for the price we paid and right near the northern quarter which is where we spent most of our day! Lots of great food spots nearby. However, we were given an accessible room which wasn’t ideal to have a seat etc in the shower. Feel like these rooms should be reserved for those who need it. The bathrooms also look a lot nicer on the standard room images. The room itself was also quite dark. We were also kept up by a very loud noise in room 111 for hours on and off. Didn’t complain as it was early morning and we didn’t want to move rooms at that time, but it did ruin the experience a little of a night away from home. Check in took a while and we were waiting around 10 or so minutes to be acknowledged, even though there was only one person in the queue infront.

Modern Marriott Hotel
This is a modern hotel just to the north of the city centre. It is a about a ten minute walk from Victoria station and twenty minutes from Piccadilly. I asked for a double bed and at first I was given a room with two singles! I had this changed immediately. The room itself was clean and well designed. When I went to bed I noticed that the double bed was actually two single mattresses put together so it was not ideal but my stay was only for two nights. The hotel is just off the Ring Road but I could barely hear any traffic or external noise though it was a midweek stay. The buffet breakfast had a good variety of items on offer to suit all tastes. Eggs can be cooked to order which is usually a good option though the poached eggs I had were a little under cooked. One side of the hotel is adjacent to building works and I understood from another guest that these started very early in the morning. Much of the surrounding area does seem to need redevelopment or is in the course of improvement.

Birthday ruined .
Bed wasn't made, sheet was scribbled and sticky thing on it. AC did not work and phone failed to work to call and complain. We had sleepless night and when complained in the morning, the manager agreed to cancell rest of 8 days booking and refund and reduce the night stay by 59% . However I was charged for 8 nights and full price for the night stayed and 50% charges. Deepite multiple emails and calls money was not refunded . Please avoidd this hotel . It is not a Marriott at all and if it is then avoid all Marriott.

Generally it was very good. Clean and comfortable beds adequate facilities although bathroom poorly designed and creaky floors. Cleaner replaced 1 cup left the other dirty also through away soap we used once and didn’t replace. Staff were very nice my only real gripe was no parking on site and I was sent to a car park quite difficult to find where there is a much cheaper one right next door. The receptionist said the one they suggested was more secure but I think they should at least mention the one next door and let you decide. It was fine

I booked for 3 adults sharing, room was so small there was hardly any space to walk around the beds. Breakfast was ok, however we ordered poached eggs and waited for 15mins for them to arrive. Parking was a nightmare, I rang the hotel whilst on our way and was advised to park on a multi story a few minutes walk away as the hotel has no private parking. It was a 10 minute walk in the pouring rain, only to discover a pay and display right next door to the hotel!

Hotel was modern, clean. Staff on front desk efficient but not over friendly. My main issue was the comfort and convenience level of the room - decor very dark and soft furnishings very sparse. The lighting (or lack of it) in the bedroom was area is a real problem when you are due to go out that evening and the light is so poor you can't put your make up on. Rooms were style over substance.

Housekeeping missed some things several times; it seemed to be hit or miss with them. The central location is convenient but traffic noise comes with the territory (white noise machines in every room would be a great solution). The hotel is nice, clean and the staff are mostly friendly.
