Great stay

Great hotel. Had a bit of an issue with the air conditioning during my first stay but my second stay was great. No issues. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the accommodations are perfect. Also the food at the hotel is very good.

Comfort with excellent location in Manaus

The Hotel Juma did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. A large group of us had dinner in the restaurant 1 evening with a violin and cello played in the background, highly recommend the food was excellent! Food and drinks may be ordered and delivered to their rooftop swimming pool which we used several times during our stay. Only negative their bar area in the lobby is quite small, although plenty of seating on the terrace.

Amazing Stay in Prime Location

Beautiful property with an amazing view from the squeaky clean rooftop pool. The hotel breakfast is excellent with familiar items for US/European travelers as well as local favorites to try. The fruit is amazing. We had a great view of the famed Opera House and enjoyed happy hour on the square nearby. There are a variety of restaurants and shops nearby but don't overlook the hotel restaurant and bar. We enjoyed cocktails in the lobby bar and a wonderful dinner. But all of these things were topped by the wondeful staff. Everyone was unfailingly warm and helpful.

Very difficult to contact and speak to someone in English prior to arrival… so we were a bit concerned. However it might be one of the BEST boutique hotels we have ever stayed at and we travel the world. I must mention ALICE at the front desk who booked for us two incredible trips with a very knowledgeable and perfect English speaking Charles & Ed the driver… couldn’t have been in better hands. The hotel was under renovation while I was there. I had two stays and management ignored my complaints about the elevator to the pool being unavailable. On my second stay they offered a fruit basket, but this does not make up for undisclosed construction, the lobby smelling of paint, being woken up at 730am to heavy machinery and workers standing out side of my hotel room for hours until I was moved into another room. It's illegal in Brazil to not disclose contruction, the hotel doesn't allow cancelation on Expedia (it's also against Expedia policy to not disclose renovations). By what was left I expect by mid to late July 2026 the construction should be done. If you're looking to book soon, I wouldn't do it. No one can relax when tile is being cut...
