Do not book here, find a better option, it will be worth paying a little bit more! Rooms are run down, holes in carpets, shoddy old wardrobes, curtains not on rails properly. I only booked this hotel as it is advertised as providing a free airport collection service. I contacted the hotel 24 hrs before arrival to arrange as they requested, and was told they no longer offer this service so I had to pay for a taxi on top of this. If it still says airport collection in the advert, don’t risk it,

We regret that the room guest was not satisfied with our service. Our aim is to please the guest with 5 Star Service. We notified room guest that there was a payment issue with his reservation and that he needs to clear it up with the online reservation company as the reservation is not valid without payment. We appreciate that the guest took time to express is views.

There is no water or Muslim shower available in toilet. Surprisingly, hotel is missing this basic need.

You can get more for your money
We were really disappointed with our stay. Check in took ages and once in the room there was no water tea coffee or toiletries. Cleaning was only every 2 days and the TV was rubbish. It was a 2 star hotel at a 4 star price.

Check in was no problem.
I had previously complained about check-in and lack of staff training. This aspect of the hotel service has obviously been addressed and check-in was smooth.

Good location, untrained staff
Checking in is a chore and requires some patience on the part of the traveler. The reception staff are completely clueless about where your booking is, what room you selected, how to effect a visa transaction, often multiple staff end up behind the reception desk with their heads together trying to figure out what to do. Rooms are large and comfortable if somewhat dated. Hotel location is excellent. Price is right and the pub is great, though it too has recently seen a complete change out of staff.

Hotel staff changed our booking - unacceptable
The expedia site for this hotel is INACCURATE. They do not provide free airport transfer if you stay only one night. This is not mentioned on the site and was only discovered after booking. The hotel did pay for one of the transfers but this was only after speaking to management. Website info needs correcting. Staff at hotel decided to rent part of a three bedroom apartment we had booked through Expedia to another guest who arrived complaining of a "medical condition". The staff saw no issue in renting out one of the bedrooms (an adjoining room that made the apartment three bedrooms knowing that my family was arriving expecting to stay in the accommodation we had booked). The staff apologised but there is no excuse. The staff required us to pay the original amount to stay in another part of the complex (2 x bed) - my son having to sleep on a mattress on the floor. The room we were placed in was nice but not what we had booked. We had arrived in the evening and felt trapped as it would cost us much more than our original booking to try to move to another hotel. The staff continued to make excuses about why they had given away part of our booking. The hotel and staff should be ashamed of the way we were treated and the lack of respect shown towards guests. I hope this is a one off for this hotel and not a situation experienced by other guests. I travel often to Bahrain for work but will avoid this hotel for my family unless assurances can be given. FAMILIES-BOOK WITH CAUTION.

Further to my investigation. Yes, the hotel was overbooked by mistake of the front office staff. A two bedroom suite was provided at a much lesser price as all the 3 bedrooms were full. The guest was reimbursed BD 6.750 for the airport taxi, and was offered the same when he was leaving, this was declined by the guest. I accept that there were mistakes made by my staff; I will contact the guest and offer a complimentary 3 bedroom suite for his next trip. This should not have happened, and I am ashamed of this, our hotel has been open since 1977 and we value our clients and appreciate it when people ask for the "Mansouri" experience. We are family friendly; many long term family residents in Bahrain actually stayed with us while they searched for a house. Their children remember us well.

Nice hotel close to restaurants
We booked a two bedroom suite with a total of 3 beds since we were going to pick up our son from the airport. Due to delays the hotel was extremely kind enough to give me a very late checkout til 3pm which usually is around noon for the next day. The apartment suite we stayed in was very spacious.

Thank you for your kind comments. We have complained to the government authorities about the people not parking their cars correctly. We are in the process of adding an additional entrance to our car park, hence, this will provide additional options.

Great Hotel, a bit older! But well kept in a nice area and very close to Adliya. The apartments were very spacious, beds were comfortable. Rates are very reasonable I would stay at this location again. Also this is safe for families.

Dated hotel in a very crowded area of Adliya. The room was clean, but in need of updating.

We thank the verified traveler for their anonymous comments. Yes, Adliya is somewhat crowded, though, we do have our own private car park. What makes the the Adliya area an attraction is with the many consumer related businesses such as banking, grocery stores, fast food places, fine dining, car rental agencies, flower shops, gardens, and parks....The area is very much alive with people going on about living their lives. Our hotel was built in 1977, it is always kept clean, furniture has been changed, and is continuously being changed and updated; fashion is a never ending process. There are far better places to stay at in Bahrain.
Stayed here for two nights and will not stay at again. The rooms are fine, it is just the staff and service which are underwhelming. The drastically overpriced restaurants that messed up orders by not just as bringing the wrong dish, but did not bring food at all and then threatened to call the police if we didn't pay for it which wasnt even the price listed on the menu. It was just a hostile atmosphere the entire time. Better hotels that are cheaper with better staff are plentiful in Bahrain, so don't waste your time with a lesser hotel.

Thank you for your comments. We regret that your staff do not meet your expectations. The restaurant serves only fresh food, all imported ingredients from various countries around the world, chilled and fresh (not frozen), made to order, hence, the price is set according to the costs. In the Bahrain market we are mid-range in pricing. The waiter regrets that he misunderstood and served the scrambled eggs on one plate instead of two plates. Also, the staff are not authorized to give free beer as per your request for compensation for the mix up of scrambled eggs. A Nice Place for a Short Break
My family and I stayed for four days during the recent Eid holiday. The hotel was busy; however, the service was very good with helpful and friendly service.

Stayed 3 nights with family during Eid holiday.
We stayed in 3 bedrooms appartment which was spacious and clean. Tha Furnature is outdated but should not be a problem. The hotel itself is old but got renewd. It located in borrow street in the old Manama city. The recieptionests are very friendly and helpful.

Decent stay
These are basically all small sized apartments. Rooms are decent. They have an over priced room service menu with very average food.. suggest you to go out for meals.. besides that the staff were friendly and overall the stay was alright.

Thank you for your comments. The suites vary in sizes from 1,200sq ft. The food is all fresh from the best sources possible from around the world, hence, our food prices are not the cheapest, but everything is freshly cooked using only fresh products.

Good value for money if a little noisy
Staff were really first rate, facillities more than adequate and the rooms extremely large. Really the only downside is the noise from the exterior aircon on one side and the call-to-prayer on the other if you are a light sleeper.

Thank you for your comments. They are helpful. The mosque is a Friday Mosque and does calls to prayer, 5 times per day, and a Friday sermon. We are in the process of upgrading our windows to encased double glazed, hopefully this will address the noise problem. cheap and cheerful.
bed sheets required changing due to being the wrong size i.e. too small. done straight away. no spare key available but no drama. staff okay, pleasant and helpful. irish bar great, overall, value for money.........

Very disappointed
We had stayed at this local hotel back in 2004-2005 several times. Although it was never considered to be a "luxury" hotel it was always clean, well kept, quite and comfortable. Local expatriates were known to frequent the location with family in tow. Our most recent stay was very disappointing. Upon check in the staff did not have our rervation booked correctly and we were eventually shown to a room in a building seperate from the main one and ushered up three flights of stairs. No elevator available. The room was musty and not well kept. The television did not work, the refrigerator did not work, the ceiling fan in the bedroom did not work and the shower head was broken. The hotel location is very convenient and off the beaten path so that's why we stay there. This will be our last stay. Too bad really, it used to be so nice. It's really gone down hill in the last couple of years.
Our two adjacent properties have Otis elevators maintained by the Otis agent. Hence, we do not know where this gentlemen stayed.
