Lakefront and remodeled with large deck on Nolin lake!

We are located only 8 miles from the north entrance of Mammoth Cave National Park and on Nolin Lake. We are open for rental year around. This 1200 sq. ft. home has 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, living room with sectional, color 65inch flat screen smart TV, WIFI (You Tube TV), DVD, and central heat & air. There is a 20 x 26 patio porch with gas grill and picnic table overlooking Nolin Lake. All that you need to bring is food & lake towels!!

On Nolin Lake you are able to enjoy swimming, skiing and fishing. Other activities nearby include cave tours, museums, golf, hiking, horseback riding, shopping and live theatre.

We are located only 8 miles from the north entrance of Mammoth Cave National Park and only 30 / 45 minutes away from other show-caves and area attractions

Policies: No Smoking, no pets and max number of overnight guest is 8.

Please be advised Nolin Lake is owned by the US Corp of Engineers and is used for flood control. Lake access is best during the summer as the Corp lowers the lake (25 / 30 feet) starting late October. Due to the flood control aspect of the lake, the walk up and down to the water can be steep and some guest might find it difficult.

Boat parking at the dock is no longer available as the Corp of Engineers restricts rented properties from using a permitted boat dock. There is a boat ramp 1/4 mile away that you can launch and recover your boat very easily with parking at the ramp (parking can be limited on weekends).

Swimming is available off the shoreline (note rocky and deep), or at the boat ramp, or one of the nearby public beaches (Nolin Lake State Park).

Relaxing Weekend

My teen sons, my Mom, and I enjoyed the peaceful lake view from the covered deck, making S’mores in the fire pit, and the three spacious bedrooms with personal bathrooms. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking and location close enough to explore Bowling Green & Mammoth Cave. I would stay here again.

Peaceful Retreat

Very peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed the beautiful early mornings at sunrise with a cup of coffee overlooking the lake! Great place to stay!

Great Stay

We stayed here for a 3 night girls get away trip. It was the mid point meeting up with friends from Georgia and us from northern Indiana. We never left the property and stayed busy playing games, talking, crafting and eating. It was a great place to do everything we had planned.

Lakeside with friends

Propped on the steep side of an peninsula overlooking a reservoir-lake finger we saw deer, squirrels, and raccoons and thought it the perfect place to enjoy the company of, and play time, with good friends.

Lake home by Mammoth caves

Loved the covered deck especially since it mostly rained while we were there. Nice grill and grill utensils. The power went out the first evening so we were thankful for the candles. We were traveling with our 3 adult children, so we loved having 2 beds in the third bedroom— this is not easy to find elsewhere.

Spring break trip with the grandkids

Short trip to Mammoth Cave with grandkids. Location on the lake was just beautiful and relatively close to the National Park. It would have been much closer if the ferry had been running (down for repairs). The cabin had everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed the sitting out on huge deck and taking in the peaceful views of the water. The owners were more than helpful and especially gracious to mail us some items the grands left behind!

Perfect for the holiday.

The view was perfect we could have stayed on the deck the entire trip. The neighbors were all so friendly!! Everything was updated and there was so much room, everything u could need to cook and clean with was provided. We loved the game room and all the board games. We really never needed to leave the house. The dock was beautiful for pictures and the kids loved swimming down there. I could not have asked for anything better

Cozy with a view of lake

It is a little far from everything, but worth the drive. Beautiful deck and view. Found house to be stocked with most everything we needed. I did have to call owner to find a light switch and she answered quickly and was very sweet. I recommend this house if you want to get away . If you are looking for night life this is not for you.

Nice place at Nolin Lake

Had a wonderful weekend at this house. Enjoyed family time and lake time. Very busy lake traffic due to holiday but still had a great time. Took our kayaks and was able to leave on rocky shore so we wouldn’t have to carry up and down each day. House had everything you need to have a great time. All you need is to make sure you bring groceries since there isn’t many stores nearby. Loved the huge front porch overlooking the lake.

Visit to Mammoth Cave area

There were a couple hiccups with the house but the owners responded right away and did what they could to make our stay pleasant. I was pleased the linens didn’t have a strong fragrance as I am sensitive to fragrances. Might want to bring some hand towels and wash cloths. We had enough bath towels but not enough “sets of towels” for each. The owners are super friendly and we had a great time exploring the area!

Lovely, Peaceful Lake House

We had a lovely, peaceful stay at this house. The deck was amazing, the views were spectacular. We enjoyed waking up to see deer, squirrels, chipmunks, birds and more. The fall color and fog rising off the water just added to the beauty. It was close enough to Mammoth Cave that we made trips on two separate days quite easily. The kitchen enabled us to make several meals. I will say one of the showers was a little on the tight side for my husband, who is over six feet, but it was manageable. Also, it is a lake house, so expect a little mustiness, but that went away pretty quickly once we aired it out. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Lakeside dreams indeed!

Beautiful house... beautiful location! The bedrooms were great for our family of 5 with 2 boys & 1 girl. The playroom/sunroom was a great addition when indoors. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The outside patio was the best place to hang out for us ...we ate all our dinners outside!!! It is a bit hard to find...try to get there while its still day outside. Called the owner and she helped us immediately!

Great getaway on Lake Nolin

We really enjoyed our time at Lakeside Dreams. It was quiet and peaceful. The water levels are down quite a bit in the winter so may want to check that out if you plan to use the lake much but our kids had fun skipping rocks into the lake nonetheless. The property was clean and as advertised. Our only snag was that we didn't receive the door code and upon arrival had trouble getting into the home for a few mins. This was quickly corrected by a fast response from the property manager.

Nice house for a family!

We were looking for a house for 3 adults and kids 15,11 and 7. This worked great! Kids loved the game room and parents loved sitting out on the deck with the view. Walk to the lake is pretty steep but we only went down once. We spent the day at Mammoth Caves and just the evenings at the house. Comfy chairs by the fire would of been a nice bonus but otherwise this house was very nice. The had a very simple checkout process posted on the fridge. Quick and easy to leave. Driving up the driveway could ve scary in the rain/ice but we had good weather and no issues.
