Creta Maris Resort - All Inclusive

Creta Maris Resort - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent
"We had a lovely family vacation at this wonderful hotel. The look and feel of a Grecian village within the hotel is beautiful and there is so much character to the whole hotel. The staff were very helpful helping us to get the most appropriate room for our family. They were all very helpful throughout the stay. Hotel itself is huge and has so much to do. Each pool was lovely and clean and the kids water park was massive. Lots of activities for adults and kids alike. Room was spacious and clean. The food was great and à la carte restaurant we had was amazing (Mademi). Only one drawback is needing to book in the à la carte restaurant every morning which, if you’re not quick enough, the slots go quite fast."

"The property was nice and clean. The staff was friendly.. The only issue we had was that our air-conditioning unit was not working well. The room was warm and stuffy. Staff told us to open our windows for a breeze..."

Ikaros Beach Resort & Spa - Adults Only

Ikaros Beach Resort & Spa - Adults Only

10/10 Excellent
"A top resort. An awesome place with amazing staff, great facilities like the rooms, the restaurants the pools. The views and luxurious feel are just perfect. The beach itself is clean and relaxing. The place itself is extremely quiet so if you’re looking for a very quiet place to get away this is the one. The food for an all inclusive is absolutely superb in comparison to other all inclusives I’ve been too. The only criticisms be that for an all inclusive there aren’t many snacking options outside of the breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks are also a little watered down but that’s expected, internet could also be better."

Alexander Beach Hotel & Village Resort

Alexander Beach Hotel & Village Resort

8/10 Good
"The hotel is nice and clean with some good restaurants and bars. The Lemongrass Asian restaurant is especially good for sushi. The staff are friendly. During our stay the majority of guests were either young families with small children or couples aged 60+ so there wasn’t much of an atmosphere. The spa is good, however the staff had a very “hard sell” approach when trying to get you to book treatments, which we felt slightly off putting. They also didn’t have a price list and seemed to make them up on the spot. The resort the hotel is situated in has a lot on offer though, and the beaches are great."

What is a historic hotel like in Malia?
A guest who chooses a historic hotel has the opportunity to stay in a place recognised with an official historic designation. These types of hotels in Malia usually retain original qualities like traditional architecture and period features in their communal spaces or guestrooms.
What is the difference between a historic hotel and a heritage hotel?
The two are similar. "Historic hotel" is a term often used in the US, while you'll often hear "heritage hotel" in Asia and Europe. Yes. Every effort is made to preserve treasured traditions and historic facades, while interiors have safety features and modern conveniences. Guests should expect the popular amenities from a contemporary hotel such as private rooms with updated bathroom facilities, WiFi and more. In Malia, booking a historic hotel doesn't mean you will stay in a place that's uncomfortable for guests or rundown.
