Having stayed in the area many times this is by far the best hotel we have found. The hotel is quiet but very accessible for Malcesine via either the tourist bus or public buses. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and was served on the terrace with amazing views. The pool bar served drinks, ice cream and a few sandwiches. Rooms were very clean. Only slightly odd thing was the balcony was shared which put us off sitting out on it but the site is big enough to not heed to. We will definitely be back.

So pleased we booked this hotel. You don’t have to be a tennis player to enjoy it! Hotel Club Olivi is set just outside of Malcesine so is not so frantically busy as the other central hotels and has gardens to walk around and enjoy. Having seen a lot of the other towns around Malcesine on the north east of the lake this town was the nicest with narrow cobbled streets, lots of interesting shops, a small port and plenty of restaurants . The castle is an added bonus and the scenery quite spectacular. A lot of the other hotels in other towns along this area of the lake are set right on the main road that runs alongside the lake so if you want to sunbath or swim you have to do it alongside a busy road. The area where the hotel is the main road is higher than the lakeside promenade (which runs along most of the lake on this side suitable for walking and cycling.) As the promenade is below the road at this point it’s more private and quiet with two wonderful restaurants overlooking the lake edge minutes from the hotel. To walk into Malcesine from the hotel will take you 30 minutes along this promenade but the views are so beautiful it’s a pleasure to walk. Alternatively you can do it safely and a lot quicker on the bikes available to hire from the hotel at just 7 Euro a day. The hotel is family run and everyone was exceptionally lovely and helpful. Breakfast was great with a great choice. We absolutely loved it and will definitely return.

Love it!

Fantastic place! Friendly and accommodating staff, spacious rooms with good beds and and bath. They were also great to our dog. We will definitely return when we go to Italy again!

Das Hotel haben wir zum zweiten Mal besucht. Allerdings haben sich einige Sachen verschlechtert. Jetzt bekommt man einen Tisch zum Frühstück zugeteilt, was an sich sich nicht schlecht ist. Allerdings bekommt man innerhalb einer Woche dann mehrmals einen anderen zugeteilt - ohne Begründung und dafür sitzen dann andere Gäste am vorher reservierten, was wirklich nervig ist und sehr unorganisiert wirkt. Leider hat auch das Reservieren von Liegen „Einzug gehalten“ und dies teilweise den halben Tag, ohne das Gäste die Liegen benutzt haben. Auch, dass Gäste ihre Getränke und Chips-Teller mit in den Pool nehmen, ist wenig hygienisch. Ansonsten ist es aber ein tolles Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal, super gereinigten Zimmern und klasse Seeblick (Haus 4). Es wäre schön, wenn die „kleinen Dinge“ korrigiert werden könnten. Auch die Lage des Hotels ist oberhalb der Straße phantastisch und ruhig und die Tennisplätze immer gepflegt und sauber. VG J. K.
