"Large clean rooms and property. Great staff."

"The rooms were clean and smelled fresh, but they felt small and outdated for a two-queen setup. I previously stayed at Travelodge in Kamloops, and their rooms were more spacious while still being very clean. One issue we experienced was the smell of food preparation from a nearby building coming into our room. There was no microwave initially, and although one was provided upon request, we had to place it on the floor due to limited table space, which was inconvenient. Because the building is older, sound travels easily—you can hear conversations from outside, and likely from inside as well. On the positive side, the breakfast was really good, and the staff assisting at the buffet were friendly and helpful. However, our experience with one staff member—a tall white male at the information desk—was not pleasant, as he came across as rude. We were also incorrectly charged for two nights of parking despite staying only one night, as well as an extra fee for a child that had already been paid. Thankfully, the checkout staff resolved these issues for us. Overall, the hotel didn’t feel very kid-friendly. It may be more suitable for older guests who appreciate historic buildings, as it is quite old (possibly around 40-50 years? though I’m not certain)."
