Well located hotel with massive room and comfortable bed. My only issue was with the reception staff who weren’t very forthcoming with information, particularly about the car parking arrangements

Great stay

Loved our stay. Very quiet hotel area. Check in was seamless, rooms are good with comfortable beds, coffee machine along with tea kettle & tea. Loved the breakfast as it had a great variety. Very close to central area & very accessible with car or by foot. Lots of underground parking

Comfortable stay

Our family of four stayed just one night in this hotel before continuing our holiday, travelling through Germany. We found it very comfortable sharing a room together and enjoyed a lovely breakfast with great choices. We all enjoyed a swim in the pool before continuing our journey. Great service and friendly staff.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Would come again. Great free mini bar! Nice, helpful reception staff. Better / brighter lighting option in room and somewhere easier and more convenient to plug in the kettle would be good.

New facility recently purchased by Leonardo. Up on a hill above the center of town where all the attractions are. Downhill to town but uphill going back to the hotel. But the area seems safe.

Wow! This hotel was wonderful. We had a horrible stay the night before in Cologne and arrived via train quite early so we could visit the Christmas markets. It was raining and we were tired. Upon arrival, we had only intended to drop off our bags but, to our surprise, both of our rooms were ready early so we were able to check in! The rooms were fabulous and had everything you could have wanted. The staff was wonderful. The property was beautiful. Could not more highly recommend staying here.

We’ve stayed here many times over 10 years. Some of the furnishings are looking a bit worn, but all is clean. Bathroom is very clean. Linens and bedding are fresh. Breakfast buffet remains high quality. Staff informative and helpful.

Good location. Clean rooms. Arrived early 8am,and asked for an early check in. Was told to check back at 1. Then was instructed to check back at 3. No options given. There was no accommodation for an early check in. Hotel main elevator was down to one of two which was manageable, then the second one was not operable for several hours. We would still use this hotel but some better communication and better maintenance is required.

Fitness centrum: awesome Room: top, very quiet (4th and last floor) - I asked for a quiet room and the front desk lady gave me this one, thank you ! Nevertheless: the heating system was not working at all, and the water for the shower was not hot at the morning :-( About the restaurant : service was awfull: very slow and they gave me the wrong meal...

Great staff and lovely hotel!

We had a great stay with such friendly and helpful people. They went out of their way to make sure that our room was ready early, which was so kind. We needed it early to make it to a wedding. Very professional and nice. It's within walking distance from the train station and downtown. We loved their pool/sauna area. Our only mild complaint was that the pool is quite small and the hot tub was not working. We would still highly recommend Novotel!
